approx. 10 days ago, I had my uncle buy me an AT800DE strung with BG70PRO at 21 lbs and 23 lbs. the racket has been strung and he already got it. He is in china right now and will bring the racket over to me april 23 I guess. the racket will remain unused until then. I asked BBESPORTS, from which I bought the racket, about the tension. the customer representative said no. I read a thread that some international level players restring their rackets every time before each game even if they didnt use those rackets. I am just worrying if the tension would drop. I would like to know how much it would drop.
any reply will be apperciated. Thank you.:)

It'll drop about a pound or two (or even more, depending on the stringing) within 3 days.
if you don't use a racket, the tension will drop slower than if you use it.
so tension will drop either way.
i don't understand why you are worried here.
(I hope/ I'm sure) you are going to restring it once you get the racket. So there is nothing much to worry...

Depend on the string, tension and stringer's technique, the string will lose tension more or less around 5-10% of range in the 1st several days. If you want the lose to be minized, u might consider ask for 1-2 more lbs than ur tension.

I am worried because the racket will be remaining unused for two months. if the tension will drop significantly to below 20 pounds, I will have the racket restrung when I get. otherwise, I will leave it the way it is.

1. Unless there's significant temperature change, if should not drop to below 20lbs.
2. Once u get it, try it then u can certainly make the decision. :p

If the string was prestretched it will not suffer the same initial loss of tension as non-prestretched string.
Also, different string constructions lose tension at different rates.
I've found BG70Pro to be particularly good at retaining tension.
The tension is going to drop for sure.. weather you use it or not. But if you dont like the tension when you are using it. you can restring it again the same day and use the racket again after that.
The tension will drop about 1 to 3lbs within a day or 2. If it doesnt affect your performance , you can still continue to play with it. :)
