March shipping date applies to retailers. I'm sure bao had trained for few weeks with the ns8000 before he goes to compete in the german open. Neil Nicholls 03-03-2005, 11:51 AM I thought world release of NS8000 (to the public) was to be at/during the All England Sealman 03-03-2005, 06:35 PM I wonder how fast would the NS8000 clones be out :) youngwind 03-03-2005, 10:48 PM so is GaoLing.. http://image2.sina.com.cn/ty/s/p/2005-03-03/U397P6T12D1427395F44DT20050303105818.jpg mtakako 03-03-2005, 11:57 PM Hmm.. this makes me wonder if the NS8000 and the mp99 are somewhat similiar since both those player used to play with the mp99. so is GaoLing.. http://image2.sina.com.cn/ty/s/p/2005-03-03/U397P6T12D1427395F44DT20050303105818.jpg bluejeff 03-04-2005, 12:02 AM Hmm.. this makes me wonder if the NS8000 and the mp99 are somewhat similiar since both those player used to play with the mp99. That's a NS7000, not 8000 youngwind 03-04-2005, 04:06 AM That's a NS7000, not 8000 you are wrong. that is 8000. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=7322&stc=1 TrunkZ69 03-04-2005, 04:12 AM Gao Ling is using the NS 7K while Bao is using the 8K. FEND. 03-04-2005, 05:21 AM Any other pros change their racquets for the German open? How bout the M'sian players. Since now they're under Yonex. I guess that LCW is using NS7k from the pics in the other thread?? Correct me if I'm wrong. Yogi 03-04-2005, 06:26 AM Mate, see the colors in the T joint area. Trunkz and BlueJ are deep in the money. olli 03-04-2005, 08:37 AM It's indeed the new NanoSpeed 8000. I'm at the German Open right now and I saw him using this racket in his match against Wong yesterday. youngwind 03-04-2005, 08:48 AM http://www.bbeshop.com/yonex/racket/images/ns7000_frame.jpg Bao Cunlai is using 8000 ,while Gao Ling is using NS7000, whick is sail to be faced the double player who use it for attack. youngwind 03-04-2005, 08:49 AM http://www.bbeshop.com/yonex/tech/images/racket_ns7000_01.jpg bluejeff 03-04-2005, 08:10 PM you are wrong. that is 8000. No, You misunderstood me big time, Bao is using NS8000, but Gao Ling is using the NS7000, and I am never wrong at this subject  (Look at the thread with the picture of Gao Ling up there, that's what I meant) Watch closely to the red circles on pictures here: bluejeff 03-04-2005, 08:14 PM What about other Chinese players? (no TV coverage here :( ) I wonder if there are more people changing to NS series. PS: I have seen some Japanese pro players changed to NS7000 from Korean open.....looks like there will be more and more people using them. Brave_Turtle 03-05-2005, 06:44 PM Hmm the NS series supposed to be head light and Bao previous racquet (Ti-10 and Mp99) were more in the head heavy side. scchang 03-06-2005, 11:18 AM That's a marketing and sales strategy. Yonex supplied the new rackets (and possibly some extra incentive) to these players and knew this investment will promote the sales. Since German open is a three star tournament, I would take the risk if I was a pro player and the incentive was big enough. Therefore, it is not a surprise to see many of them use rackets very different from their previous ones. Another way to reasoning this is the change of playing style. If you observed players move to these NS series from Cab/Ti/MP/Armortec, they might change their way to play games. However, I think that the chance is thin. We can wait and see All-England or even World Championship this year then we will really know if these pro's would stay with the new rackets or not and therefore identify which factor is more likely.
