Hi fellow S'poreans:
My brother in Singapore is flying up on 10/03/05 to visit me in Melbourne. I wanna get the Yonex Armourtec800 offensive in 3UG4. Where is the best place to buy it???
Crappy Yonex importer here only imports 3UG3 and sells for between AUD$290-$329!!! What a rip-off!
Is Bras Basah Complex still the best place to go and haggle? What price should I expect to pay?
THANKS GUYS!

Should be available readily and around S$250~270. we shouldn't say at800 there at that price is a rip-off, becos, as we know, taxes, profits and the high cost of operating a brick and mortar shop all added to the higher prices there and elsewhere, same goes to singapore, if you compare prices of TH version. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/vb/images/smilies/smile.gif

Is it 10-10 shop? I think they always overask their price and then give u "immediate" discount. My mizuno shoe there price tag was $130, then give me discount to $95, actually i think its worth less than that :)

BBC = Bras Basah Complex...
Dunno which shop yet, will check with him when I collect him from the airport. Apparently he said was a shop with quite a hot-chicky-babe salesgirl!!! :p
Its a well known marketing tool to inflate prices well over their recommended retail price, then offer a significant discount, it makes the buyer feel like they are getting a good deal when they are just paying normal prices.
The cheapest I can get the AT800 in Australia for is AUD$280, which converts to about SGD$360 at the moment, and that doesn't include strings, or postage. Perhaps add another AUD$50 to the purchase price for the racquet to be court-ready!! :crying:
So basically I've saved myself about SGD$120 or AUD$90 for the racquet than if I purchased it in Melbourne....so....CAN'T COMPLAIN! :)

TH version and SP versions are also readily available for the AT800 here. You might be getting the TH version, around $230 with string.

Are there any differences between the TH and SP models? I was under the impression there were just region codes or something.
