Hi,

I searched for this racquet and I did not find much. I have read some summarys about this racquet on the net and the guide to choosing gear here at BCBF but I am not completely sure that this is the right racquet for me. I can not call myself at the pro level  ha ha , but I have been really working hard on my game and on my body. Right now, I would describe my style as fast attacking and seeing if my dad can help me add on more deceptive stroke play. This racquet won't be a hassle as I have found many good deals for it over the internet. Any opinions on this racquet and if it is appropriate for me? Which do you prefer the ISO 75 MF or the newer 2005 one? Do you recommend any other Yonex racquets since I heard this is one of the best brand of racquets?

Thanks,
Ralph

It's a fine racket, aimed at novices and intermediate players. Personally, I wouldn't limit myself to Yonex, other companies do make good rackets. What makes a racket is quite subjective and varies from person to person.

ISO 75 MF is flexible and head light. It's more of a defensive type of racket; it won't be as powerful for attacking as even balanced/head heavy rackets. Also, you should be aware that you can only string this racket to 16lbs main, 18lbs cross according Yonex's specification. This is too low in my opinion..I prefer stiff strings, at least 24x24, but that's just me.

If this racket is your first racket, then it will be adequate. But if you are close to being an advanced player, then you should get a better racket that will suit you as you progress.

I have the ISO 75 MF (yellow), and it is quite good. I find that it is stiff compared to some of my other rackets, and it can generate a lot of power on impact. good control as well. I recommend it for a beginner to intermediate player.
