The MP55 is a heavy beast and to me was a bit head heavy, but it packs a lot of punch for the money ;)

It's because it's a 2U racket, which makes you feel heavy.so.. the racket is even balanced but it feels head heavy cuz its 2U?
btw thx for the response!!

honestly i dont know if its head heavy or not (by feel) cuz i haven't played with any other racket (except the borrowed Ti-10 once or twice) :p

Comparing my AT800DE and my MP55......MP55 is not head heavy....at all....

2U MP55 is not head heavy. Rather, it is overall heavy, as bluejeff pointed out. Same thing with 2U Ti 10 and 2U MP 77; some people mistake head heavy with overall heavy. I have a 3U Ti 10 and found that is even-balanced/slightly head heavy.

If you want to feel the difference between head heavy and even balance, you should try the Armortech series.

It's all relative, that, and Yonex tends to call almost everything even balance, lol.

I have an MP55 and an MP77. MP77 is still classified as even balance, though there are few who wouldn't say that it isn't one of the most head heavy rackets ever.

Relatively speaking, my 2U MP55 is not as head heavy as an MP77, but you could say that it is relatively head-heavier than more balanced rackets, say... my Cab30ms.

But it's all relative. There's no exact world accepted definition for 'even balanced' so what you hear from others may not apply to your own impressions, you can only get relative impressions.
