RSL 6000

MikeJ

RSL 3200 (japanese version)

It's relatively inexpensive and it's very durable. Oftentimes when an RSL 3200 clashes with another racket during a doubles game (whether a Yonex or Prince or any other racket), the RSL 3200 remains unscathed while the other racket either chips or cracks (especially a Yonex). :D

Although I myself love head-light racquets, I can't help but feel good playing with the Karakal SLTi-80 even though it's even balanced. It's probably the best most evenly balanced racquet I've ever known by Far. If I could change anything about it, I'd probably like to make it +5mm longer, as long as it was still as balanced. That's it's only small flaw (for me personally) in my opinion.

Another racquet I like playing with and play my best with is the Slazenger Xcel S1.

Carlton Airblade Super Lite
Carlton Airblade Lite Ti
Ashaway TMP 990 (MP 99 but less expensive)

I'll have to try any other carlton(s) such as Airblade Tour or Airblade Elite.

Lots of popular Sotx rackets seem to be here.

My favourite non-Yonex racket has to be the Astec Ti-25 (designed by Susi Susanti's company). Feels similar to the old Yonex Ti-10 but a tiny bit more flexible.

It's really been well-made and plays beautifully.

Dreamzz
09-13-2006, 12:53 PM
oh yeah, i remember Alan and Susi promoting those racquets. that's why it's called ASTEC. can you still get these?

i started a thread on light racquets.. of all the ones mentioned here, can anyone recommend one that is as very light, and even balanced? preferring something not expensive, i.e < 100 cdn. doesn't have to be from here.. but would prefer the more accessable brands.. prince.. carlton.. or something from HK cause my relatives can send me one.

Been a while since i posted,

If were to choose 4 in no specific order it would be

1. Airblade 2000
2. Airblade Rasmussen (not the cheap one)
3. Airblade / Aerogear 900
4. Aerogear 700

All were carlton and they had huge handle and relaibility problems. But when they did play, they were great for control and feel. Good oval shaped rackets to learn your badminton.
