According to another Chinese article, the 1997 world champion Peter Rasmussen is staging a come back in the upcoming Danish Open. he has been recuperating from his nagging injuries for the past 3 yrs.
many may remember the epic battle between Sun Jun and Rasmussen in the 1997 world championship final in Glasgow. if my memory don't fail me, the match lasted over 2 hours. Sun Jun lost due to a cramp.
as a side note, this and the news about camilla was "leaked" to the press from Michael Soggaard. Soggaard must be a big chatter box. :)

From what I've heard Peter Rasmussen will make his comeback in the German Open early in October. That will be a good warmup before the Danish Open...
I just hope he will be spared for more injuries. He was a real great player, better than Gade physically allthough maybe not technically.
he must be at least as old as Gade, around 25, no?
and yes, he has been very injury prone. i remember at least once he tried to stage a come back, only to be injured again. let's hope he is fully recovered by now.
I think Peter Rasmussen is actually 28... the clock is ticking. Maybe it's too late for even a brief comeback... pity, he was such a good player.

i tend to agree with u.the badminton world has changed tremendously since he left it.
chances are slim for him to break into the top 8 or so bearing in mind the numerous up & coming youngsters.

Yes, i think he's about 27 years old... So it's 3 very important years of his career which have been ruined by injuries.
I'm looking forward to seeing him play in the Danish Open, especially it could be very interesting if he plays Gade. Sort of like a "Clash of the Titans" a least for a Dane like me =]
A Peter rasmussen's fan like me is sure happy abt his comeback. i hope to get him to sign on my Carlton Rasmussen.
exam coming, some more come online? i mean, u haven't been online l8ly. then out of the blue, u pop in.
