It must have been an incredible match against Hvidovre (ended 7-6) and I am so sorry I missed it.. From the reports I gather though that you were outmatched both together with Helle Nielsen by Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms and together with Michael Christensen by Nathan Robertson/Jens Eriksen... which is hardly surprising.. Kastrup needs to buy you some better partners for next season !!!

Other then that, it seems that Kasper Ødum had a quite impressive day beating Boesen so clearly and winning the decisive double with (was it Jim Ronny or Joakim Fischer?)...

I am also impressed by Tine Rasmussen and Ann Lou Jørgensen (shame she does not compeet internationally any more) who beat Gail Emms/Mette Schjoldager.. and even though Michael Søgaard seems to have been outclassed by Rune Ulsing (I guess that was a bit disappointing) in the mens singles, I am sure he did a good job in the mens doubles together with Carsten Mogensen which must also have been a "key" match for you in the win..

So.. Congratulations again.. it would be great to hear your thoughts on the match and on my remarks above.. :) ;)

I would love to go play again this year. Played 2 years ago in Seden with my team and this year my team in Luxembourg won again the championship but I will probably not go to play.

Kastrup Champion ! but without JR ... nor Tine (injured), AL Jorgensen, Pernille Harder, Kasper Oedum.

It's a pity for us but that's enough on european scene to win european cup.

Disapointed for your twisted ankle (i took infos with Helle Nielsen who is quite cute and sympathetic), impressed by carsten mogensen (sounds like a clutch player even if i judged helle like the engine of the mixt against clark/overzier), fan of joachim fisher (what a fighting spirit and regularity !).

A lot of injuries and absences (Tracey Hallam was kept by her $&é"'"é' federation for the WC prep !!!, Palyama got injured in the semi, dane women were supposed to be in exams...)
But big matches with Zwiebler, M. Christensen, the young swedish Wigardt.

one more cup for denmark !

To be honest, Kastrup Magleby was very very lucky to win the cup.

They lost 4-3 against Novgorod (Russia) in their group match and only topped their group because the Russians lost against Spain in their first match (by under-estimating their opponent).

In the semis, they would have lost if Dicky Palyama hadn't got injured just before.

And in the final, Marc Zwiebler played really really badly (never seen a pro make so many mistakes! :confused: ), Birgit Overzier was injured and couldn't play properly in the third game (XD), she had to withdraw from the WD...

Overall, congratulations to Kastrup Magleby but don't forget you were really lucky to win the cup! :rolleyes:
(next time better bring all the team :p )
