Too bad Taufik is not participating in this event. He would have beaten Wong Choon Han easily and other players as well...

It's Xia who win this.... He beats Wong in a five set thriller though,.,....

Taufik was whitewashed 15-2 15-3 by junior Lin Dan in Manila.

In Singapore Open:

Boon Lai trashed Lin Dan
Wong trashed Boon Lai
Taufik trashed Wong.

So Taufik was in off form in Manila, he could have beaten this kid easily..

Agus, don't get me wrong, i'm a big time Indonesia fan, i've been supporting them ever since i started with the sport coz i learnt all my badminton from Indonesians in Jakarta.

Anyway, doesn't mean that Taufik can beat (Notice i say beat and not "thrashed") Wong and that wong beats Boon and Boon beats Lin, doesn't mean that Taufik can beat Lin.

A good example was the trio of Xia, Ji and Hendrawan. At that time Hendrawan was INA's no 1. Xia was China's no 1 and Ji China's no.2

A perfect setting was in the Sydney Olympics. In the semi's Xia lost to Hendrawan. And the following day (I think), Hendrawan lost to Ji, who is the reigning Olympic Champion. And also Xia loses to Ji.......

Anyhow, all great players, Xia the World Grand Prix Finals Champ, Hendrawan world Champ and Ji, Olympic Champ. Ya'll probably knew that already, just thought i'd say it..... ;)
