well ok ... i guess the question wont be if it's a legal move because as stated "the first forward movement of the server's racket will be the start or the serve" right ?

now ... i was playing with my friends ... we were in the 3rd set ... near the end so the tension was pretty high. we took our positions ... the other side serves, we all remained calm for like 3 sec waiting for the serve suddenly the server (my friend) snaps his wrist backward and make my partner flinch. Now ... is it ok for him to do that ? he snaps it so quick that the racket head hit his shirt with a snapping sound.

can someone tells me if he was wrong or not ?

Distractions of any type is against the rules. And that movement is definitely not part of the serve, so you can fault him.

Not true. He hasn't started his serve yet :D

I find that players who do this are usually those who are unable to win and thus resort to tricks and as the saying goes "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". At the very most, they can get away with it the first time but it is highly unlikely that they will be able to get away with it again after that.
