The MD was a real eye opener about the quality of Lee/Jung. Lee was a SF in WJC in 2002?

ZhangYw/ZhangD are China's No.4 - so not China's best. The weak link is ZhangD. They were hoping to make up for the unexpected Korean SF loss to the unknown Enlgish pair and also being left out of German, AE and Swiss. They'll have to show how good they are alongside the other 3 pairs in Japan where all 4 pairs play.

Those overheads really got KJ as he could not get down fast enough to scoop up the missiles. The last few points in Set 1 and the second half of Set 2 were Hafiz all the way.
That's 2 on the trot. Can he take the Japan Open next week?

Malaysian MS is really shining bright now, Lee CW, Hafiz are 22, and Kuan is 21, with WCH and Rosling being seniors and playing supporting roles.

However, I cannot say the same for MD, though there a couple of young ones coming through, but nowhere near the other powers.

Anyway, I think the Chinese really fear the Malaysian MS, especially Hafiz.

one thing i admire most bout hafiz... he can chase back even if opponent is leading with match point in hand ... like wat he did with PGC last tournament.. he's simply amazing

Good result for Hafiz, nice to see him having consistency. Can't wait to see him play. Still a long way to go until Anaheim though.

Hafiz really played well through out the whole game. Controlling the tempo. His style kind of laid back. If he can be more consistent with fire.. i think this will bring him to a higher level.

Not exactly slew them did they? Just won comfortably enough. Does that mean the 3 tournaments won by Korea MD, WD, XD featured the same 2 players? How did Lee Jae Jin develop so fast ( 2 years) playing both MD and XD when the famous SangY/ZhengB got stuck playing only the MD in the last 4 years? LYB must consult the Korean badmintorn doubles doctors or better, shrink!!

Lee Jaejin and Jung Jaesung come from the same university as Kim Dongmoon and Ha Taekwon and the new coaches of the National squad Tank Kim Her, Yoo Yongsung and Ha Taekwon have been a real inspiration. Especially the Malaysian coach Tan Kim Her must be really excellent like Li Mao in Malaysia as young doubles players told me.

Tan Kim Her, the former member of the Malaysian National Squad is not that old, he is just 34 years old and is known as the expert on training young players. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta he reached the MD semifinals. Last December during the Indonesian Open the Korean chief trainer Kim Joongsoo offered him a post as chief MD trainer. His monthly remuneration is supposed to account for 5000 US$.
