Hahaha!
As some might know, I did buy 3 fake racquets before not knowing it from Orient-Pearl on ebay. Just for the purpose of testing, I decided to use the fake MP 100 i bought. I could find so many wrong things about it! I felt my grip loose. The racket was feeling not that even balanced.
on my 3rd game that night! I jumped in the air for a deadly smash and it wasn't really the shuttlecock which got smashed but the racket instead! That was gross! First time I ever saw this. Never in my life, I broke a badminton racquet like that.. even the cheapest ones.
Here are the pictures!! Give your comments!!

no! hopefully, there was my grip and it broke on my palm. I was like what the heck! how could i miss the smash! then i feel something in my palm, my racket was not straight! i check it.. and lolz! but looks like inside the wood, the stem is made up of 2 parts.. you can see in the pic where it broke.. is it normal for the stem inside to be such?

That's very unfortunate indeed, the racket clearly is fake, because it has that SP thing and the PBSI logo.
GOod luck on your next buy:)

Actually no...the SP on the shaft and the PBSI logo on the cone doesn't mean that a racquet is fake.

should i buy another handle and repair that fake?
...
or
...
do a special surgery operation to the racket and explore the technology of fake yonex! :D

Don't ever think a fake will give the performance of a genuine racket. It will end up more expensive, and shorter life span to oneself (frustrations, stresses, etc) and prone to accidents which may also inflict injuries. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/vb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Actually, a lot of high level hard hitters tend to break racquets that way- cracking the handle.
Personally, it mostly happens on backhand smashes because the whipping is so strong there.
But you might be right, that it happens even more often on clone racquets.

oh God, help us all here! every single yonex racket here have the SP thingy and the PBSI logo on the cone. (i'm in malaysia anyway)
come on, where do you get that info? read a bit on country distribution code please. you may freak out some of the less well informed newbies with that piece of mis-info.

I agree with you Napee, I'm not from Malaysia but I've bought many rackets from around the world. It's not because there's PBSI on the cone and it is SP that is not fake. I've bought rackets directly from Singapore and M'sia (when I was on a trip) and have ordered online from their shops and I can conclude that they're not fakes. The quality is as good as originals, even better than some of the US I've bought before (their handles break so easily).

LoLz! the fake racquet had a random technology that could deceive all your opponents. It was so not-even balanced that the fake racquet faked the opponent!
1.When I hitted to the left.. it goes right!
2.When I hitted far at the back, it goes into a drop
(You think the 2nd one is not possible!! actually yes it is since the shuttlecock hitted the frame instead of the strings  )
Fear the TECHNOLOGY of that fake MP100!!
...
However when I smashed, the fake racquet didn't know how to fake the opponent.. so it just broke off! :p

sorry for your loss.
but thanks so much for sharing the pictures. now we can refer to this thread whenever some come to ask, "how much difference is there between a real and fake racket anyway?"

really? last time i checked, i saw a "muscle power 200" and a muscle power "999" and both had SP and PBSI, seriously, i spoke to many Yonex affiliates and they confirm that sp and pbsi are fake rackets

I believe you are wrong ahhs_1980. If what you are saying is right, 90% of the Southeast Asia people and people from Hong Kong are playing with fakes Yonex's racket?

That's probably because they have not been out of country and see oversea version of rackets. ;) SP version do exist, and they are a big pie to Yonex.

haha! maybe chinese wood is fragileI feeled so sorry u said that!
YONEX was not made in China, but in Japan. Why the Chinese athletes played best? I think that it may not because they use YONEX. That is skill! Thus,YONEX is not your best selection.

What are you talking about?
:confused::confused::confused:
Some racquets are made in china/taiwan you know.
Besides, fumoffu said the MP100 was fake (right?)
So obviously a possiblity is that the racquet was made in china.
And what does skill have to do with this?

I didn't really understand your point but if I have offended you for saying chinese wood is fragile, I am sorry then because that was meant to be a side joke. I have never doubted chinese player skills and I have nothing against ppl who want to use fake racquets either, it's their own will. On this thread, I just wanted to point out the inferiority of fake racquets compared to genuine one. So, I am very sorry if you were offended..

u can buy a new handle for that (hopefully):p
back then in my country, i can modify my racket (handle, head, shaft) but it was for the old model racket though.(not the 2 pieces racket);)

I just want to say that China can't export the fake racket.

It might be because there was a knot in the wood in your grip. Usually a knot means that the wood is much weaker at that point...

I won't say that all fakes break in 1 day and real ones never break in 1 day. However bear in mind that fake racquets have NO WARRANTY .

sound like fake racket makes great fake shots. However, in your case, you have asked 1 too many fake shot from your mp100 :D

More importantly, fakes have no consistent quality. You could get a low quality and a respectable quality in the same batch... that's expected with factories cutting corners.
