OK, time to air my 'dirty laundry' out in the open...:D

Old insoles... Mizuno original insoles. I bought and used them from Oct./Nov. last year until now. Regular use. Minimum twice a week, averaging 4 hours each session.

New insoles... Sole Ultra by SOLE Custom Footbeds. Just got them today. Mark time and date. Will post the next time I replace them. Characteristics: it can be heated in the oven for perfect mold to fit. However, I have chosen not to heat them and opt for maximum support.

My Mizuno Lightnings are still doing fine albeit a little beat up. Will see how long they last. Estimated time to replace them... hopefully this Oct. Possibly earlier if the soles deteriorate faster than anticipated.

Nah, it looks worse than it smells. I peppered baking soda in my shoes after every session. It doesn't stink up the joint but then again it doesn't smell like freshly cut flowers either:p!

These are darn good replacement insoles. Ever since I got a pair, my knee pain was reduced substantially. LB should get a pair ;)

It would help your knee further if you put those gel pads underneath the soles where your heels are. Gel is a very good shock absorbing material.

Where can I get a pair of these soles?

Specialty sporting goods stores and sports therapy centers should carry them. The insoles are alittle pricy comparing to the types found in general superstores but they're worth every penny of it. One will probably last a year or so. YMMV.

A pair of of Mysole should last half a year or more. I will post a picture of the used one soon :D . There is nothing like insole forensics.

Putting a shock absorbing gel underneath will increase the likelihood of sprained ankles. I had Level I, II & III sprained ankles before and will do everything to avoid this type of injury.
