It's the 15th of the eighth lunar month (where I am) today... oops, just passed that 6 mins ago. =P

This is the first MAF I'm not having mooncakes at home with my family. It's very depressing, esp. after a tough discussion class when you feel so uttetly stupid coz everyone's making smart (and smart-ass) comments but you have nothing to say.

Taking Korean rice cakes in the morning didn't help either. They're celebrating Chusok now. I wonder if anyone else misses mooncakes. =(

See, I'm so dumb I even spelled "utterly" wrongly.

You're not dumb, you just type fast. Also, you miss your family and friends and you're in a strange place and the food is very different and even when the food seems familiar it doesn't taste the way it does at home and it's difficult to find your favorite newspaper and magazines, and .... How do I know these things? That's how I felt when I first left the US to live in a small town in central Mexico. And 5 years later when I came back to US I felt the same things up here, except my family was here.

How's the badminton in Evansville? Have you played yet? You'll get along fine once you've settled in and gotten more comfortable with your classmates.

Best of luck,
marshall

More likely the result of mooncake withdrawal symptom.
