When at the net in doubles and you are pushing or hitting down at the opponents, should your grip be more panhandle or should the grip be backhand w/ the thumb on the wider part of the grip?
I just want fast racket movement so I need some suggestions...

Assuming you are starting with a basic forehand grip and the racquet on edge, as you're ready to receive opponents' shot or serve; the panhandle grip is faster to change to if you see an opportunity to make a push just as the shuttle clears the net, imho. Also, you are rotating the grip into the palm of your hand. That gives you control of the racquet at all times.
Moving to a backhand grip for pushes feels insecure to me, since i have to move the grip further out toward my finger tips while I'm moving my body toward the net.
Somebody help me out here. I'm getting into deep water.
marshall

: When at the net in doubles and you are pushing or hitting down at the opponents, should your grip be more panhandle or should the grip be backhand w/ the thumb on the wider part of the grip?
: I just want fast racket movement so I need some suggestions...

Err,
I think it would depend on the grip yo played yor last shot. Certainly if the shuttle is out wide to the forehand, only a forehand grip will do.
Shuttle on the backhand side? If you haven't got time and have been caught out, try the extreme round the head - make sure your back is OK first.

: Assuming you are starting with a basic forehand grip and the racquet on edge, as you're ready to receive opponents' shot or serve; the panhandle grip is faster to change to if you see an opportunity to make a push just as the shuttle clears the net, imho.
