Peter Gade has been forced out of the Denmark Open due to his knee injury......

I feel very sorry for Gade, he is a potential world champ but on the day of the final, it always gets to him.... Anyway, heres the article below taken from www.petergade.net

Today I got the results of another knee-scan. I have about 1cm of injured cartilage, which is not much according to my doctor Per Hölmich and Physiotherapist Anders Madsen. But unfortunately it's enough to keep me out of next weeks Danish Open (Realkredit Danmark Open).

As I've said before, I'm not going to take any risks with my health, and since I can't play at 100% and since my preperations hasn't exactly been great, I've decided not to play.

Ofcourse I'm very disappointed, I was really looking forward to this, my first big tournament in a long time. But now I'm going to continue the retraining of my knee, which means a lot more cycling and running up stairs...

How sad! He's wise, though, not to risk it...

A Danish Open without a Dane as one of the favorites in MS, that's just plain strange!

Only 3 times in the last 20 years have non-danes won the MS in Danish Open...

Really? That long?

Oh well, he would have faced tough competition this year again........ Chen Hong is my prediction

Chen Hong does not have the mental toughness to win big matches. Who knows if it's not another Dane this time. May be Anders Boesen who managed to play well in some of the matches.

I do believe that Chen Hong has yet to achieve the biggest title of his carreer, but i disagree that he doesn't have the mental strength. I think that Chen Hong is 1 of the toughest players in the world to beat.

I can't remember which tournament it was but when Roslin Hashim beat Chen Hong in the 1st set and had game point against him the 2nd, Chen managed to pick up the pieces and take the 2nd and 3rd sets... This is why i find that Chen Hong has what it takes to win this tournament.......

That was men's semi-finals, All England this year, the longest match of the tournament. It could also cost Chen Hong's first title in the final next day.
