I have an Armortec 800 DF that broke at the shaft while being delievered. I managed to get my money back but I got to keep the broken racquet. It seems to be such a waste for a perfectly new racquet to be going to waste. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way I can put the racquet back together? :crying:

what i would do with that is attach a handle to the head part and then give the racket to a 7 or 8 year old.
Kids that age can't handle full size rackets and i'm sure they would be the envy of all the other little munchkins with their new, custom, armortec 800d.

you're kidding me.
if i'm 7 or 8 years old, i don't want your fake racket even if it's fixed and it's free.

But its such a waste, I just want to know if it is even possible to put it back together. I have more than one racquet, but I could always use another racquet to play around with. And another thing, what is with the attitude?

There is no point in fixing this racquet. Once the shaft is completely severed, the racquet is as good as dead - fake or real YY.

Damaged AT800 DE, what now?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am probably the most pissed off I have ever been. A few of you who have read my threads and know that I purchased a supposedly fake AT800 DE off of ebay. I got a notice from the post office to pick it up yesterday. Today I went to the postal office to pick it up. During the drive back to school for badminton practice where I would discuss with other members the authenticity of the racquet, I was opening the package. The next few moments consisted of me filling the car with profanities. The racquet was indeed fake, the paint job was all wrong, PLUS!, the racquet was broken at the shaft. I am in a predicament, I have no idea what to do. I can't certainly get a refund because the racquet is broken. I can't get money from the courier company because apparently there is no insurance. In fact, I dont have a clue in the world what to do right now. So overview of my crap ass day. I bought a racquet that was fake and damaged with no insurance and i'm screwed. Can anyone help me?
Mark was very fortunate to got his money back.
now he is pushing his luck.
wazzzzaass, i hope one day ur on the another side of a player using a repaired fake racket. Maybe a flying racket hitting ur ----- would change your attitude.

I gave honest advice.
My coach has a few rackets that are "fixed" like that. Work great for young kids who do nothing but patty-cake and that's about all you can do. I gave a different answer to the solution becuase I assume the poster has *DONE A SEARCH* and figured out that there is no point in fixing a broken racket.

Even if you fix it (by tapes, epo. glues, ...whatever methods), you won't be able to use it fully. It will break very likely once you do a smash (or a fast swing).
Don't waste your time and money on this un-fixable thing.

But really, all your posts is pretty much about the same thing, you keep posting threads on your useless fake amortec 800.
Your racquet is as good as dead.

even now, i would love having a shortened at800de.
it would be a kickass toy to fool around with on the court with friends.
that is the best idea i've heard of in a long time.
its a shame that hervias decided to shut it down. he's missing out.

hey dude try using metal epoxy resin. it sure will make it heavy.inserta plastic tubing inside the shaft t reduce torque and then
u can give it to a 7 or 8 year old. hehe

good thing you got your money back, but this is what you can do with the racquet to fix it and I've done it to a few of my much worse broken racquets.
You get a hot glue gun and glue it back together so it looks like it's in its original form, and then you put it as a display piece in your room. If it were genuine, I would have also salvaged the grommets, base grip and butt cap.

Hi all,
since 1-2 years i fix my broken rackets and also some of my trainingspartners with carbonmaterial wich is used for modelboats and orthopädik protheses.
The racket will weight after fixing ca. 2-4 gramms more than before, so the handling is a little bit difference than before. If you take one more gripband, the handling is not far from before.
The first picture were my first tests and for that very sick. My latest fixes are much thinner.
Here is my repairing-manual: (http://www.badminton-austausch.info/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5357&c99b514c)
It is written in german, but you can see pictures and maybe take a translator.
What you have to know:
Fixing rackets is not for saving money. For me playing with this rackets gives me a feeling of: "I have made fire by myself" as Tom Hanks in Cast Away.
It is recommend to string by yourself. Otherwise it makes no sense a cost more money than bying new rackets.
Bye,

maybe you can find some kind of a carbon rod to stick in the shaft and then superglue the rest :D

Yes. I tried this way with 2,5 mm Steel-Nails and 2 Component Steelglue. But after short time all shafts did not broke but get a bow. After that I always pull a thin carbon layer around. Then it works and "looks" better than only sicker carbon.
Bye,
