Badminton Australia is announcing this morning the Team to represent Australia at the 2005 Sudirman Cup in Beijing 10 – 15 May.

Please find attached a media release which will be sent out later this morning.

The Team is : - Stuart Brehaut (VIC) (Captain), Ashley Brehaut (VIC), Boyd Cooper (VIC), Travis Denney (WA), Stuart Gomez (NSW), Kellie Lucas (VIC), Tania Luiz (VIC), Kate Wilson-Smith (SA).

The Coach is Mr Sze and Team Manager Rhonda Cator.

The Sudirman Cup Team leaves for Nanjing on Saturday together with 8 other players who will train at the Nanjing Institute of Physical Education and Sports for three weeks (the Sudirman Cup Team will have two weeks in Nanjing before heading to Beijing). This is part of the Badminton Australia Chinese Exchange Program and is the second exchange with the Nanjing Institute – 16 players were in Melbourne in December last year.

I wonder why there is no Indonesian player in Australia team.
I know that there are many Indonesian migrated to Australia.

Maybe they are not yet eligible to play in "country" events (WC, SC, TC, OG).

Looks like Lenny is ending her representative career and starting coaching , she will be going with the training squad to Nanjing, but not Beijing.
