Hi Jonas!
Just wondering, what's your favourite string-tension, and what sort of string are you currently using?
Personally I have a string-tension at 26-27lbs (12 kg.), with a bg80 or sometimes a bg65 string.
Kind regards
Christoffer

i was told by my coach tht most players use yonexbg66 strings. and the tension range between 25-30 pounds(for male) 24-27(for female). which i think 30pounds is impossible because on most yonex racquets, they say the maximum is 22pounds.
but i dont know about jonas rasmussen.

For international players 30lbs is not impossible but routine.

Almost all modern racquets can be strung to 30lbs. I string 27.3lbs mains and 30lbs crosses all the time, for myself and my friends, on all brands of racquets, including clones, fakes and brand names. :D

They CAN be strung to 30lbs... But they also COULD break if the stringer is inexperienced or if the machine has problems or stuff like that....

Hi Christoffer!!
Iīm using the bg80 or bg65 and I like my racjet to have a tension of 13kilos. Itīs not close to being the hardest tension among professsional players, but I find it appropiate for me as too hard is very stressfull for my arm and too soft I lose some of the control.
I think this topic has been debated a lot and therefore you should be able to find tons of information about it here from amateur to professinal opinion. Just type tension or string into the search and itīll pop up for sure.
Hope this helps!!
Kind Regards
Jonas

Morning all,
As the old saying goes: less tension = more power, more tension = finer control. So why do all the pros use such high tension? Probably because they are able to generate power without assistance from the strings AND because the rely on precise placement of the shuttle.
So how about us amateurs? IMO, DON'T go for less then 21lb (I regard this as the absolute lower limit). As for the very top of the scale, the limiting factor is not the strings at all but (as stated frequently and correctly on this thread) the frame. Most mid-range rackets can handle 30lb-ish these days but be careful; go too tight and your arm will feel like it's on fire for days after a game (the tight strings transmit vibration a lot more efficiently). Tighter strings also break far more readily (I can recall seeing a men's doubles featuring Phlandy where he went through 4 rackets in 5 rallies. I think he had about 32lb on)
Around 23-27lb is a good compromise between decent power and milimeter accuracy.
