I've had this racket for a while and am suspecting some sort of false advertising. It says head-light on the racket but when you measure it (balancing on the finger and shifting along shaft), it balances around centre.

In fact i have a Calton TT which IS even balance which balances around the same area.

Does anyone else experience this with other rackets (or indeed the MP44?).

Oh and for those who are still wondering about the longer shaft label on it - it does indeed have a longer shaft than a bog standard Yonex (the Carlton TT has by default a longer shaft than it) racket, but only about 5-10mm or so.

I did think that maybe it was a fake but then again ... why the hell would anyone want to make a fake of the MP44 ?!!!

Hmm..r u sure u held it right at the middle? I just tried my mp 44 and it was indeed head light.

MP 44 was first ever racquet...:D , i think that with my overgrip on it it's at around 280mm-ish , it's headlight, but when you have nothing but the original grip on it, it's actually an even balance at around 290-ish??...but when I hold it, it feels head-light :confused: so i guess it's how they designed it...but nevertheless if you're feeling defensive and too lazy to attack this is a good racquet to choose :p

P.S. I haven't used mine is a while so...i maybe wrong :o

Actually, i only put one grip on (small hands) - but regardless of that, i think it should still be head light. Mine balances around 290-ish.

The only qualm is that it's exactly same as the Carlton TT900 (which is meant to be even balanced) - and i only have one grip on that too.

Personally i have felt some truly head light ones, and they balance about 270-ish, a significant difference. Thanks for info though, now i know i'm sure it's not a fake.

I know what you mean about being lazy though, you don't have to work hard for medium lifts and shots, but i suppose it maxes out quite quickly. Repulsion from smashes is also great which means even less effort. Definitly a lazy person's racket. Regardless, it also sounds great when you smash (though that's about it really).

even with the super grap the center only moved about a centimeter to the handle... does this mean its a fake? ;) the serial number is real though o.O
