Pete LSD 05-23-2005, 05:47 PM There is actually a 95 grams model?!? I want one :) .
pb_aznstyle 05-23-2005, 06:07 PM My doubles partner has one. It is a bit head heavy but still manuverable. It's an excellent all around racquet.

N1, N3 and N5 are the even newer models than NCode Pro, I still haven't found N1 , N3 and N5 in Hong Kong. Forrest Yung tried NCode Pro before and you guys can find his review by searching this forum

It is powerful, but too stiff.
forrestyung 05-24-2005, 12:53 AM Hong Kong Guys can borrow from me before making the buying decision. It is really a very critical racket.

Wilson has different ncode for different market.
Asian only :
Npro is for Asia with 7.5mm shaft, Introduced August 2003??
US and Europe
N1,N3,N5 is EPC with 7.0 mm with Outside Wrap T and inside Graphite T Joint, At store April 15,2005

I bought the N'pro around end of 2004. I just think Wilson rackets come to Hong Kong later than Europe. In Hong Kong, the V-series just arrived for two to three months, but they should be introduced in Europe for a year. I hope N1, N3, N5 will arrive Hong Kong later as per V-series, but I will persuade my friends to buy it and let me test it. :D It's T-joint is very funny!!!
Not only Wilson, but Prince rackets also come late. The More+ series have not yet arrived HK until now...............
badplayer2004 05-26-2005, 01:52 AM Hi,sorry to get back so late...was busy past days.
name in the racket is Wilson Npro, this is a SPECIFIC MODEL of the ncode series as in the 95 grams model with "for advanced player"
from my experience playing..it has a weak smash,my theory is that the stem is too soft flexible.....its like playing/hitting with a sponge/banana when you want to smash....compared to the mp99..it is really weak....control aint bad..will have to play more....but to any snasher out there..you will be disappointed...i purposely bought the heaviest racket to get the power....also because it is too flexible my arm hurt a bit unlike the yonex racket.:o
will tweak it again and change to higher tension at 28..maybe theres hope it could be useful....but am pessimistic....:(
maybe its unfair comparing it to the 99,am afraid it cant even be a backup racket for me:(
also this one is made in china
pandee720 06-02-2005, 02:37 PM i have the wilson n1 and it is STIFF...
i mean... REALLY REALLY STIFF
you can swing the racquet really hard but it will barely bend so i think it's a power racquet for powerful people...
i reviewed it already somewhere in the forums... probably in the "racquet review" section

Totally agree!! As per my previous comment on BF, I think Hyper-carbon is too hard to for badminton, same problem in Hyper-carbon 4.0.
It is a power monster when you have adapted it with good finger skills and energy, otherwise, all hits will be powerless.
DinkAlot 07-13-2005, 05:21 AM I purchased an NCode N1 this weekend and it's a very powerful racket, the most powerful racket I've hit with to date. :D
To put it into perspective, a 50% effort smash with the N1 = 70%-80% effort with my NS7000! And the N1 came with this Wilson thick, non-repulsive string. I can just imagine how powerful it will be when I string it with BG-85.
Powerwise, the N1 made my NS7000 feel like a toy racket. :p
Regarding feel/touch shots, I'll wait until I get BG-85 @ 29lbs. (like I do all my other rackets) to give a comparable assessment.
I'm going to use my N1 tomorrow and surprise my coach with my newfound power. :p
I'm thinking now I should go with all head heavy rackets, who cares if I can't defend fast enough. ;)

I think two series are actually two different series, not just different names for different markets.
As I have seen the N1, N3, N5 series on Wilson website, it doesn't look like the NPro, N85, N90 series available in Hong Kong
Pete LSD 07-17-2005, 06:30 PM Is the 95 grams version widely available in HK? Is there a sticker to indicate the weight and grip size of the racquet like Yonex?
Pete LSD 07-18-2005, 06:44 PM Has anyone string this baby to 30 lbs?
DinkAlot 07-18-2005, 06:46 PM Has anyone string this baby to 30 lbs?
I just strung an N1 to 27/28bs. yesterday night, no problems. The N1 seems to be quite robust, I don't think 30lbs. will be a problem at all. :)
cappy75 07-18-2005, 09:52 PM Just browsed a website based in the states. Man, I am so tempted to get it:(! US$19 to ship to my address and the N1 racquet is retailed at US$120.
Pete LSD 07-18-2005, 10:03 PM Purchase it and let me torture it to 30 lbs :D:D:D.

You can get it for $100 + shipping from Wayne at www.waynesporting.com (http://www.waynesporting.com); that's where I purchased mine.
You can call or e-mail Wayne here: http://www.waynesporting.com/contactus.htm
You'll need to contact him to get the $100 price, the website says $109.99. Wilson US model rackets also have a similar warranty replacement policy, $35/racket/incident.
Wayne Sporting Supplies is a new Badminton only sporting goods store in Arcadia, CA. Wayne's a nice guy.:D
Hope this helps.
cappy75 07-19-2005, 02:18 AM Hey man, thanks for the link! Just fired off an email to Wayne. Will see how much I have to pay with shipping charges include before I commit. Pete, you can have first go at it when I do get it:p.

DinkAlot 07-19-2005, 02:22 AM Hi Cappy, if for some reason Wayne cannot ship, I know that I can ship it to you via USPS Mail for $14.25 and I would have no problem shipping it to/for you. :)
cappy75 07-19-2005, 03:49 AM Hey S4MadMan,
Thanks for the offer, buddy:)! Really appreciate the gesture... I hope that we don't have to get to that situation and trouble you to ship the racquet out. Are you a friend of Wayne? I think it's really cool that he's doing this baddy only store in California. Hope it's a sign of the sport gaining momentum on this continent.
Pete,
If I do get the racquet, you'll be the first to string it:).

Hi Pete, I know Wayne from meeting him in the past at SGVBC and then found out we train with the same coach. And yes, I've been to Wayne's shop a few times and it's a Badminton only store. I hope Badminton gains momentum. Just about all of my American friends do not know how fast and demanding Badminton can be. Heck, I didn't even know.
Regards,
Dan
cappy75 07-19-2005, 04:04 AM Hey Dan,
Heh! I was addressing to PeterLSD... my go-to guy AKA personal stringer:p. Is Wayne's store a recent startup? Thanks again!
Ming
PS: yeah, all the sport needs is more exposure. No machine power here, it's all human:)!

At a shop named Super Sport, you can find that at some department store like
Robinson, Central and ZEN. Remember to walk thought some different shops if have time because I found that there are some different products in each store. I bought my set at the one in Central (near Intercontinental Hotel and BTS).
