I know it is a volleyball model but I think the forefoot cushioning is better. Anyone tried on badminton court?

Yes, the forefoot gel cushioning is great if you're a jumper or doubles player (much more splitstep or hopping). The rearfoot cushioning is better for singles players and/or players who don't jump alot as it helps lessen shocks to the knee joint.

Does anyone know how are the sizes for Mizuno comparing to Yonex? If I'm wearing size 9 Yonex, is it safe for me to order a size 9 Mizuno online? I know sizes may varies across models but in general it shouldn't be too far off -- can I assume so?
Thanks.

I've never worn yonex shoes before but the size of mizuno shoes are about the same or half size smaller then my "everyday" shoes.

Hope this helps.

i bought a pair of mizuno wave. but i'm not sure of the model but i regret. it's really hard. it's not shoes for humans. it's really hard! and it cost me $99.

Mizuno shoes does take longer time to break in due to all those added features. I had a pair of Mizuno Lightning and they fit great after a month or so. In hindsight, I could have bought a half size bigger as the shoe is narrower and pinches my toes if my socks aren't thick enough.

Mizunos and ASICS are much better served for heavier people. Skinny and light players should just stick with YY shoes.

Hmm... good question:D. Personally I would consider 170lbs or more to be in the heavier weight set. However, the most important deciding factor would be whether you feel you need those advance shock dispersion features;). If one has the slightest knee problems, the choice is clear.
