hey i have a small problem,
i am currently using a Carlton Airblade Lite which is head light, and an overall frame weight of 85g. This racquet is getting on a bit and things are starting to wear down so im looking at buying a new one. I was wondering what you guys would recommend.
I need something similar in overall weight so i wont have to change my gameplay too much to accomodate it. I have found that with using a head light racquet my smashes have suffered quite a bit - would a more balanced racquet help? and would this affect my current game a lot?
Any recommendations? o, and my price limit is around £60 give or take

Are u a hard/fast hitter? I heard that head light racquets are better for people with slower swings. Search if u want to find out more about that. Head light racquets are also defensive. I would suggest mp 44 for head light, defensive play.

thanks, i'll look into it, im generally a slow hitter but i like to be able to hit it fairly hard when the need arises

An light-headed rcaquet is made for defensive play... with all your weight at your grip you're able to move your racquet much faster. But If you choose an heavy-headed racquet, such as mp88 (make sure it's the heavy-headed version) you get much more power in your strokes than with an light-headed.
Generally I recommend either mp88/mp99 -mp100 is by my oppinion only worth buying if you're an ultra-aggresiv player which play with high string-tension.
Now, I've not aware of how much $60 is in danish-kroner, but a mp88 is a nice racquet, which are able to take high string-tensions. -Peter Gade uses it with 14kg(..?) Other wise I recommend Forza Black Legend, which by my oppinion as a fairly underestimated racquet. Light and solid.

hehe but he doesn't need to pay for the broken racquets and strings;)
how about a restring, £16 tops:D maybe u could try and have a hit with other club members racquets? maybe during a warm up if u don't want to risk it in a game

I heard that head light racquets are better for people with slower swings.
I believe it's the other way around. You need a faster swing (compare to ur own standard) in order to generate decent power w/ a head light racket. ;)
