Hi, my MP-100 broke today from an unknown cause. It was strung with BG-68ti at 23lbs. It has never been in a clash, only 2 months old, and i dont know how it broke. It was during a game, i did a smash and the 1 o'clock position of the head broke. I got my racket from san diego badminton supply about 2 months ago. so my question is, can i get a warranty from San diego badminton supply or yonex?

For a Yonex racket with US country code, you can go to most stores to claim the warranty. The broken racket will be sent to Yonex for examination to determine the factor breaking the racket. They will charge you $35 when the replaced one is shipped back.

Another question: I buy my racckets from Asia, lets say Thailand.
Since I'm living in Belgium, I can't get a warrenty, rigth?

Yes, you can only get a warranty in the country where you bought the racket. Example TH in Thailand etc.

I bought mine from a Danish webshop, but it's a GR (germany) model. So I should just send it back to the webshop for the warranty, right?

so yonex only offers warranty on defects? not accidents? if so, if a racket is strung at lets say 23 lbs, and it breaks, can i get a warranty?

If so, if it breaks while your restringing, since 23 lbs is not what yonex recommends, the warranty will be void.

In TW, the way to do it is as following:
1. Send the broken racket to a Yonex authorized dealer or store.
2. They will forward the item to Yonex office and they will inspect it.
3. Once Yonex honor the warranty, Yonex will send a replacement to the store.
4. The store will notify the person.
5. The person can now pick up the racket at the store.

That's about the same thing in US. The difference is that there is no processing fee in Taiwan.

Well, from a conversation with one store owner in Taiwan, Yonex-TW does not do a good job on the warranty. Some university students bought rackets from the store, one of those rackets broke while being strung. Yonex-TW refused to replace the broken one at the beginning and resulted in some complains on some BBS/Forums. Then Yonex-TW replaced the broken one. I don't know how true it is but should not be too away from what happened since the customer service is somehow poor in Asian countries (except Japan). On the contrary, it is generally much easier to get a replacement from Yonex here in US.

That was a very common thing in TW. Yonex has refused so many claims from people without explainations or there is no result of sending in (ie: you sent in a claim, but never get the results back, so, you ended up waiting forever)

Many people (especially students) were really mad about this and that's why many people are against Yonex, Inc.
