Hey red, the final rounds of the HK annual badminton championships are this week.

I was planning to go this Thursday evening to watch. Some of the 'A' grade players, and probably some of our top juniors will be there.

I'll be taking my 50mm and 70-200mm. The sports centre is in Kwai Hing. I don't know how the lighting will be but will take a chance.

50-50 chance of making it to Saturday's matches in Tsuen Wan, Wai Tsuen hall.

LKF is a hangout place for HK's celebrities and expats. Lots of guys and gals go there for drinks and chats and . . . ;) meet the opposite ***. Very cool place for night life.

Some people stand near the end of the courts. I never been to the hall in Kwai Hing so I don't know if there is seating at one end or a balcony.

I remember two years ago I was watching Agus vs Johan from directly above them on the balcony in HK Park.

Leisure time is a premium for me. i.e. I don't get much and what little I do have goes towards on court time. I'm purely an 'ad hoc' basis person.

Our club usually play on Tuesday and Thursday (but the Thursday night gathering will be discontinued by the end of this month due to low attendacne) in HK Island.

Maybe we could have an inter-club "test", shall we? I could ask my chairman for the possibilty. What do you think? :)

as far as i know. with one id card. i can only book one court for two hours. so, in order to have more courts. we need to have more people to do it.

You mean you have to check in at 2.45pm or the flight leaves at 2.45?

If the former, I think you can make it!! You can leave the courts at 2pm, get a taxi to Central station and check-in there. Then take the airport express to the airport.

IF the flight leaves at 2.45..please rebook your flight:D

There is no such thing as a perfect racquet, and this is a good thing. With this fundamental tenet deeply ingrained in you, you are then always striving to reach the next level but at the same or lower cost. I have been asked to suggest some spec changes to the La Fleche Ti500. It can be done by tweaking with the shaft but the improvements would not be a quantum leap. They should come out with a newer, better, and yes cheaper racquet. They have been given the specs and the materials suppy source but I don't know why it has so far been very shy to be introduced. Shades of the new scoring system? :D

by the way. have u made any preparation for the hk badminton doubles league? when will be your first game?
i will have my first game at the 7th jan 2006 and my opponent will be "goodwill
badminton club. that club was the second runner up last year in both devision d and e. it's gonna be tough for our team but as u said. if i hold on to my dream, opportunities will be waiting just around the corner! i strongly believe that! ;) thx for the encouragement. :)
