We all know Hong Kong has badminton goods for cheap. But cheap has it's limitations. How cheap? Buying racquets might be cheap but strings/grip are cheap to begin with, so how cheap can they be in hk? I'll appreciate it if someone can guide me through this.

Situation is.. I have a friend that is going to hong kong soon. I might be able to get him to buy a few packs of BG66s... Problem is I don't know if hk's strings is cheap enough for me to save a few bucks.

Do any of you know how cheap the strings are in HK? How bout the grips?

Are there some stores that sells for more? or less?

Thanks~

I think a packet of BG65 goes for about 15-20 HKD. Can't tell you about other strings.

Grips are difficult - different countries have different range. I personally use one called Kimony. It costs about 30-35HKD per grip. Can't recall exact price because it was a while back and I bought in bulk. I would be very surprised if you could find it in Canada.

Grips are also very personal things..I've been through quite a few before settling on this type.

Grips do not have the same cost differences between different countries compared to strings, in my limited experience.

Heh, guess I"ll just tell him to buy BG66 then.... I hope the price of BG66 isn't that far away from the price of BG65..

I paid HK$55 for Yonex Supergrap in Hong Kong, which cost the same in Singapore. In Bangkok, its half that price.
