Hey,
I will be going back to China from July to August and i was just wondering if anyone could recommend me a place to buy an authentic Nanospeed 8000.
I will be arriving in Shanghai, going back to my home in Xi'an (Shan Xi province)
and flying back out from Beijing, so a reliable shop in any of those three places will do.
Oh yeah, does anyone have any tips for recognising fakes from authentic rackets?
Best Regards
General Foo :D

In Beijing, you can find www.bbesports.com (new blue sky) near the zoo. :)

I was just in Beijing 3 weeks ago and did visit BBE Sports. They have the NS8000 CH version and I do believe it is selling for RMB1260 +/-.
I bought mine in HK for HK$1250 SP version and is totally enjoying it. Caution, the NS8000 is a light racquet and require a bit more wrist action. I had problem using it for about a week after using AT700 for the last 2 years. NS8000 is a great racquet but I do not think that it is for everyone. I have since adjusted totally to it now.
Good Luck.

The fact that NS8000 has similar properties as your favorite old Ti-Swingpower makes it a no-brainer for you:p. BTW, welcome back Bobby:D!

According to Yonex spec, there's NO quality difference among all different distribution codes. There are many ppl tend to believe code X is better than code Y, while many others don't. Whether believe or not, I guess u need to figure it out by urself.
Personally, with my experience of observation, I don't see any difference. I know there are TW/TH/SP (which considered as lower end by many) served their masters well, even with high tension. There are also cases such as JP/CN (which considered as the best) broken after "minor" clash (lol... even though I dont want to classfy as this, but just use the common term as many others) or a mis-hit. Several were just 1-2 weeks old. ;)

Please note that CH is different from CN. I think CH is also a "lower end" like TH and SP because I found all the Yonex racquets selling in a department store in Shun Chun are "CH".

All rackets in China should be CH unless import from elsewhere. Many shops in China import SP rackets, however, CH should be the ones sold in China.
We already have seen a picture that Xia was using a CH racket, so it would be hard to believe CN is different. (If CN is better, why would Xia used a CH racket?)

I myself don't don't use Yonex because I think they are over-priced. But just in this forum, people are saying CN and JP are better.

Actually, i am not so sure about that one because chinese websites usually use .cn and it is widely recognized but logic suggests that ch is also china. Perhaps it is from two different manufactures in different regions because i know that most things are either manufactured in one of two places (cant remember what they are).
Just a thought.

Thanks

No. Top model as NS 8K should only be manufactured in Japan. I believe CH is the distribution code for general public in CHN. CN/CP according rumors are the "special" ones for CHN national team. They are different distribution codes, not manufacture codes.

Ah right. hm that somewhat explains it. but im not sure about the "special" thing. surely now, rackets arent tailor made??? are they!!!???

The myth that some country codes are better than others are ridiculous. All yonex rackets are made in japan from the same factories, and the country codes is printed according to which country yonex is selling them too. So all rackets are made from scratch in the same place, the serial code is merely a system to keep track of product distributions, and is also used for warranty etc...

nice one that clears it all up. That means i can get a ch version cheaper than a jp version at the same quality :D :D :D
Cheers

although rumour has it that since not all racquets are equal within the yonex quality control limits, and also the same model made on the same day may have different weights, balance points and "feel", it has been said that racquets with certain attributes are cherry picked off the production lines and given to some pros...
I don't know how true this line of thinking is, and i'm not too bothered personally if I buy a SP or a CH. Like people have said before, individual racquets of all country codes can last through many battles, and some only last through a few days.

Personally, this sounds too good to be true. Be extra careful, and don't fall into the trap of fakes.
