Chen/Zhao should be able to upset Roberson and Emms, I have this gut feeling

I think Yang and Zhang will avange their defeat in SO

This will be an interesting match if it happens :D
MS: Gade vs LCW
The form Gade is in right now is very impressive: Beating 4 malaysians IN Malaysia. I hope he beats LD

Just back from the badminton hall..being there since 6 pm just now and now it's already 12 am.... Lee CW showed very impresive game... he beat tAUFIK STRAIGHT SET, WITH SECOND SET 15-0.. can u believed it? as usual, all the chinese players advanced to semifinal round.. feel dissapointed because cannot see Lin Dan playing due to Chen HOng's withdraw... :-( Hope can see him playing in semifinal..cheers

Just to add somemore.. Peter Gade show a very good games, beat Hafiz in 3 sets, the the last malaysian's double also shows very good fighting spirit... they unnable to drag the game to rubber set ..before they lost .. bravo for them!

I think Peter Gade has a lot to prove as he has been on the losing side against Lin Dan for so many times, for that I'll pick Peter over Lin Dan. As for Lee Chong Wei vs Boa Chunlai, it will be a close one(just like many thought LCW against Taufik :-)) but LCW shall win.

“I had to play (in the mixed doubles with Nathan Robertson) immediately after the incident (on Thursday). And it was not easy to concentrate what with the fear and anxiety over what had happened. But we have to go on and complete the matches here,” she said. Emms and Robertson won the silver medal in the mixed doubles at the Athens Olympic Games.

Just came back from watching LCW vs Bao CL.

Although I'm happy with LCW's victory but was kinda uneasy about the questionable line calls in his favour. I kinda thought it destroyed Bao's concentration.

I truly hope it doesn't repeat tomorrow in the finals, I won't like to win in controversy. :(

my girl (who's a lin dan fan) is not too optimistic about tomorrw's match, simply because she thinks that the line judges will be biased... ugh... we'll see.

The last I watched this game, halfway through first set - I thought Zhang/Yang were simply too powerful for the Double Zhangs, as if they're just having a practice game or something.

For some reason, when the power & ability factor is too lopsided, the better team would do more mistakes than usual. I don't recall Zhang/Yang playing that 'poorly' before. :)

yeah, espec in the later part of game 2 and game 3. but to be fair, there were few dubious calls in favour of bao too.. i hope it ws the linesman judgement problem rather thn being bias...

I am glad I went to KLBA. LCW gave a sterling performance which brought tears to my eyes. The young man has all the qualities: mental toughness, stamina, killer instinct, attitude, maturity, fitness, and yes sir, a variety of jump smashes. Li Mao has transformed him into a lean mean all-out-attacking machine. Not to take anything away from Bao Bao, he played well but lack stamina- he looked visibly tired at times. It was a match of 2 heavy weights slugging out, taking and giving cuts at each other.

I have my tickets ready for tomorrow’s finale. Guess I am losing sleep tonight. It is gonna be another nail-biter against Super Dan

you're right about that... they did look like a couple of heavy (or maybe light/featherweight) boxers giving their all. there were moments when either player looked out of the match, and then surprising us with amazing shots, a string of points or a stupendous come-back :)

the match looked amazing on tv... what more there?

As far as I can tell, there was only one mistake made in favour of Lee CW, and it was a very close call, too. As for the others which Bao complained, I think the judgements were correct. Nevertheless, it was all very close. I am all for technology (with line-judges as backup).
