BANGALORE:It would indeed be a trip down the memory lane for former All England Champion Prakash Padukone as he catches up with some of the past stalwarts of the sport at a 'reunion' of the legends in Jakarta this week-end.
Many finest players of yesteryear are slated to play exhibition matches on July 16, a day before the finals of the Asian Junior Badminton Championships.
Padukone is pitted against Lie Sumirat of Indonesia, a former Thomas Cup player, in 'The Legends Badminton Masters Reunion'.
"Playing is just incidental," Padukone before leaving for the Indonesian capital. He said he is looking forward to catching up with players like Morten Frost, Han Jian, Icuk Sugiarto and Rudi Hartano, some of whom he hasn't met for years. It would be an opportunity to renew association with some of the old friends. "Video clippings of old matches are also planned to be shown on the occasion," the badminton legend said.
does anyone know the results?
