Maybe i am blind, but i cant seem to find the names of Abhinn Shyam gupta[MS] and Trupti Murgunde[WS]- from India who were both in the final list of entries.Their names are there on the list given on the website for the WC-www.05worlds.com

Is it possible for a last minute withdrawl after the final confirmation list of entries is sent.I dont see any reason they would have withdrawn or there would have been a mention in the papers.Well i just hope that they skipped their names or something...but if they have it might well mean a RE-DRAW.

Too many players has withdrawed, inclued 2 ms players, 7 ws players, 7 md pars, 8 wd pairs and 7 xd pairs. But added 1 ws players, 1 md pars and 2 wd pars.

Now, Indonesia squad only leaves 2 ms players ,3 md pairs and 1 xd pairs.

The nightmare draw award goes to:

MS
Hafiz - who else?
The first round is easy enough.
The second round should see him face Ronald, who is probably the most dangerous of the non-seeds.
The last 16 should see him meet Lee Hyun Il, who is arguably the most dangerous among the 9-16 seed bracket.
Should he pass the tests, he will then face Lin Dan, of course the most formidable of the top 4 seeds.

WS
Xie Xingfang and Mia, who are on course to battle it out in the last 16.
Xing Aiying who meets Wong Mew Choo in the opener followed by a possible meeting with Cheng Shiao-Chieh and then Zhou Mi in the last 16.

MD
Choong Tan Fook/Chew Choon Eng
Although they have a bye, they will clash with Sang Yang/Zheng Bo, by far the most dangerous among the unseeded. If they survive, they will play local favourites Gunawan/Bach, a pair every seed wants to avoid.

WD
The Chinese at the bottom half of the draw. Gao/Huang, Zhang/Zhang and Wei/Zhao not only have to compete against themselves but have the company of Saralee/Sathinee to contend with. Just compare with the top half where Yang/Zhang practically have a clear draw until they take on Lee Hyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung in the semifinals.

XD
We will see after today's re-draw.

If Hafiz has an arduous task in the early rounds, Lee Chong Wei seems to have a considerably smooth path until the quaterfinals, his first two rounds are easy and he shall play Bjoern Joppein of Germany in the last 16. Another Malaysian player, Wong Choon Han is expected to play Bao Chun Lai in the last 16.The victor is to square off with Lee Chong Wei in the quaterfinals. The Malaysian coaches must be studying Bao CL games day and night now to ensure a semifinal berth.

From a Danish perspective, the draw is grim. If the seedings are "true", Gade will eliminate Kaldau in 3rd round. Kenneth will most likely play Taufik in the quarter final. JR/Lars are to meet Candra/Sigit in the quarter final. Laybourn/Steffensen might have to battle Jens/Martin in order to reach the quarter finals...

Well, it's the WC. It's supposed to be tough. But certainly the draws could have been better for the Danish participants.

yes Mag you´re right but do you think Kaldau can beat Sony. As I see it the only reason why sony isnt in top 10 maybe top 8 is because of a long injury after the Olympics

OK, here is what i've got for the Competition Schedule. Again, session end times are approximate & competition schedule is subject to change.
As you guys notices, the format and order of play is a bit different. They are putting off the XD as the last match. They are also splitting the fields, starting on Wednesday and ending on the Finals day with only 4 fields playing(MS, WS, MD, XD) instead of the usual 5 fields. Hmm, interesting..

Tomorrow night, i will be welcoming the Indonesian team, headed by non-other than Mr. Rudy Hartono..

Well, with Chinese coach Li Mao now in the Malaysian camp, the task must be easier. But once on court, the two gladiators will have to fend for themselves. :D
