Get some handgrips from your local sports store - they'll also strengthen your forearms too. See here

Get a big bottle with a neck that fits right into your palm. Hold onto it as you see fit so as not to injure your wrist, hold it as if you're giving a handshake. Now, swing the bottle left and right and adjust the speed accordingly. Don't force yourself, doing it slow (about 4 times, one rotation from the left to the right and back to the left is considered 1 time) for about 1 to 3 minutes should be enough. Then rest your wrist for a while, then continue doing it again. Remember not to force yourself to do it fast or for too long, you might end up injuring your wrist if you do.

You could take a look at this:

http://www.gripmaster.com.au/

I just ordered one of these a couple days ago. It says it helps with wrist snap for tennis, golf, and baseball, so it must work for badminton! Also, it exercises each finger individually, whereas the hand grip thingies allow the stronger fingers to compensate.
You can find it for less at other online shops.

Hope this helps

ya and fill the bottle with water, just a little, and add more if u can do your movements fast.
myself i have and old racket with the blade cut off, and on top of the shaft i put on weights, this way u have a racket in your hands ( a half one but oh well it works fine by me)

Actually there are cheaper and more effective way to do this. I used to do that while I was playing for my states in Malaysia abt 7 yrs ago.
here is how u do it.

Use a hammer. U can choose to use bigger hammers as ur wrist gets stronger.
turn the hammer clockwise 10 times, then anti clockwise 10 times....make sure that only your wrist is turning. keep ur arm straight. nothing else turn except ur wrist. repeat this turning and make it up to like 3 sets. increase the turning qty as u get used to it. Pls dont over do. take it slowly for the first few times untill u get used to it.

The second method is..hmmm...dont really know how to explain it in words tho...but i will try...

this is what u need..
1) a Stick (The lenght of the stick should be ard 35cm-40cm...

2) String ( about half or less than your height = eg: my height is 174cm..the string will be about 85 cm or alittle less)

3) one Brick (normal brick will do. eg: rectangle shape that ppl use to build walls)

Tie the first end of the string to the middle of the stick and the second end to the brick. stand up and put ur arm straight holding the stick. The string will be tied in the middle of the stick and your right hand should hold the right side of the stick and your left hand, left of the stick. remember again to put ur arm straight. turn the stick with your wrist to bring the brick up till the brick touches the stick, then slowly turn the stick with your wrist to bring the brick down. Do it slowly and u can really feel it. I think the most u can do it is 2 times (for first timers), then u wont have the strenght to bring it up again. This second method is very effective, only that it uses alot of wrist strenght but dont give up. The results r encouraging.

Sorry for the long instructions. Hope this will help.

regards,
Ronnie.

This is a classic forearm excercise (we're talking about the forearm here, the wrist is basically just joints ad tendons so there are no muscles there). It's highly recommended.

Apart from this, I suggest you do as "ligak" says and play with a squash racquet. Try to play a lot of quick flat backhand and forehand drives, and you'll get results quick!

Here's a cheap simple way to work your fingers and wrist. Take a single sheet of newspaper, larger format is better (not tabloid). Using only one hand, start at the corner and start rolling the newspaper into a tight ball with your fingers. Do not use anything or object (ie: knee, desk) to assist in the rolling. Do a couple of sheets per hand each day . It's not as easy as you might think.
