Yeah...should be. I can't believe new China players are so good. I'm now so worried for Jiang Yanmei/Li Yujia. Wonder if they will get beaten by the new Chinese pair. I hope not....

Chen Jin was awesome! In terms racket skill he surpass lin dan! His movement on court resembles Taufik, however just lacking in aggresive smash and overhead smash!
CJ looks promising... just lacking of experience and control of emotion..
if he can overcome them wow he will be a great player!

ps anyone knows the result for Roslin's match? :D

They are against Choong/Lee in the next round. Choong/Lee is virtually unbeatable when they are playing well, but they crack up easily.

Quite intresting tournament despite the lineups.

SHock of the day is that Zhou Mi wins a match!! :D

Any one know why Gong Weijie is playing MD? Is it a permanent switch?

Young Chinese Players often play well against their seniors (Eg. Chen Jin, Wu yungyong, Zhu Weilun) since they are relaxed and know the playing style, and their opponents will be more relaxed too. Chen has beaten some good players before though (KJ or PG) and Wu yungyong reached SF of indon open last year only losing to Taufik.

I wouldn't get overly excited about them being so strong. They are only 2/3 years younger than CH,LD,BCL,CY.

Never heard of Lu yi or Li Yu though, anyone any info?

About Zhou Mi. I guess she still had some fire in her and decided not to quit like her compatriot Gong Rui Na.

About Lu Yi, if you careful enough to check all the Chinese participate tournaments this year, you will find that beside the regular China MS (like Lin Dan, BCL, Chen Hong etc) , they also sent young players like Chen Jin, Gong Wei Jie and also Lu Yi.

That mean, he is also had potential beside Chen J and Gong WJ. Of course he often lost in round 1 or 2 beaten by stronger and seeded opponent. But at least now the experience following major tournaments start to pay off for him.

All these young Chinese players have good potential especially since they're quite young and only lack major tournament experience. Chen Jin is only 19 and Gong Weijie barely 18! Chen Jin beat Sony DK when he was only 17! The only time that some of them and other young CHN squadders get to play is in the two Chinese tournmanents and/or 1* or 2* tourneys.

However CHN MD weakness is showing as even on home turf, only 3 pairs thru to last 8, even tho the foreign competition is not the toughest it could be by a far shot.

I'm excited for the CHN MS in the coming years tho.
