This tournament will start next week, but, there's still no news on the draws and countries participating. For Indonesia, they have confirmed that only the second-string players will be sent. At least, Markis Kidho/Hendra Setiawan and Hendra Gunawan/Joko Riyadi will compete in the men's doubles. They have been set a target of semi-final and quarter-final respectively by Christian Hadinata (quoting from Bola). I hope Markis/Hendra can get their first title if the other countries' top pairs also decide to abstain (which is likely).

Unfortunately, the report is incorrect on a couple of accounts. I believe Malaysia will not be sending their top Men's Singles players, hence no Muhammad Hafiz Hashim, Lee Chong Wei or Wong Choon Hann. How they got "Hashim Muhdii" from Muhammad Hafiz Hashim is mind boggling. However, the older Hashim brother, Roslin, will play. One out of two ain't bad.
