So today was labour day and sales were all over the place. I came home early from a camping trip and saw racquets for sale at Goodwill. (a second hand store) I checked them out and theyre priced okay but they were 50% off so I paid $2 CDN each! I've tried googling the models but to no avail. They're called Spalding CourtKing (the wood one) and Prince Extender Comp. For the Prince racquet, I keep getting that this model was a squash racquet. Odd.

Antiques rule.

Now this racquet, I noticed that the color doesn't match its' bag. And there is no mention of Prince anywhere on the racquet except on the stencil (which is only showing up on one side) Maybe an old edition perhaps?

This caught my eye quickly. Never seen a wood racquet before and this day is a milestone for moi. Strings are tight but I think the head became deformed because the strings are all crooked. It came with a wood thingy with the screws too, which I also see in old wooden tennis racquets but I don't know what its' purpose is.

Many more to come in the future peeps! :)

nice finds!

the shape of the first racket does look like a squash racket. but the thickness of the frame indicates it is a badminton racket. Prince is a popular squash racket manufacturer, there maybe some squash influence into this badminton racket design..

good luck. haha. ;)

Hey is that wooden frame thing the cover of the racket? Wow those are classics. I'm off to goodwill to scavenge! Have you tried those out? Can you post the weight on the wooden one?

Yup, except they call the wood frame thing a "presser" I believe. I haven't had the joy of trying them out because with school and all, I've been hectic but I will try them out and post my findings. I can't post the weight for I have virtually no information on any of these racquets whatsoever. I could find a digital scale, but later. :p
