Do you enjoy the smell of brand new badminton racquets? Whenever I buy a new one, or walk into a small racquet shop, I always like the smell. Maybe it's just me, the smell reminds me of new racquets and models, and makes me content. Whenever I buy one, I try to not let the smell escape, or not use my new racquet too much until necessary, and through careful care, the smell lasts for me, around 8-12 months.
Maybe I'm just weird.

Maybe Yonex should bottle the fragrance and make tour players use them on their racquet before important matches! :D
The roman athletes did it (to a certain extent)...

i like the smell of leather and books. when I buy a book, after opening the plastic wrapping the first thing I do is smell it.
feshly opened tube of shuttlecocks smell nice too. can't smell a fresh racket since the rackets here in the PI are displayed out of their protective wrapping (if any). they're just hung there.

I thought the smell of a new grip (factory) was disgusting. It reminded me of vinegar... However, I love the smell of newly opened pack of strings and shuttlecocks.
