Juz wonder if the racquet have the "expiry date". The "expiry date" that I mean is, if that is racquet which made in 7-8 years ago. So, will the material or I should say the structure of the racquet will become weaker if compare with the new one ?

The reason why I ask this question is, about 8 years ago; I saw a good racquet in a shop. But today, when I go back to the shop to look for any good racquet. Guess what? The racquet is still there perhaps the price is too expensive or what... And now, the price is drop to a very attractive level. So, should I go for it or ...? FYI, it is a carlton airblade series.

I really like that racquet so much although nowadays that is many good racquet in the market... So, anyone can answer me?

if it is not exposed to sunlight or pollution and never strung before, it should be good as new when it was made.

The racquet is inside a cabinet, no sunlight can exposed except the shop lamp. The racquet also never string before. So, you think it is still in good quality as the new one?

Any more comment on this?

Racquets that are more than 8 years old are not as good as when they were new. All racquet materials, including carbon graphite and other materials, are subject to permeability to oxygen and moisture (water vapour). Malaysia is a humid country.

Im more in offensive type, therefore I need a racquet that must be powerful enough and durable. If this is true, then I better buy the new one.

FYI, I already "smashed" two racquets- one is the old carbonex 8500(aluminium type with T-join) and a taiwan made high modulus graphite racquet. So, now looking for the new one that will suit my style. Perhaps cab 21sp will suit me....

Thank you, guys.

Hi Herberton,
Carlton Airblade Tour is a very durable n powerful racket. I have one of this and clashed with my partners formerly. Both my partners' rackets: Apacs n Sintec rackets broke into two. i am using 2U G5, so abit head heavy. If yr rackets are been stored in hot place like car boot, then god bless them. They will be easily break into two. So, depend which types of rackets u buy,ok.:p
