According to the Yonex Japan website - It should be stringed with either BG65 or BG88 - http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/racket/at800.html hope this helps

I've seen it around, at least here in the Philippines in the limited time I am playing this game.

Though I prefer other strings, BG-68Ti performed just fine on my AT800OFs. I don't think BG-65 is going to be better, it's going to make the racket feel more dead. I'd say try BG-85 and if that doesn't work, sell/trade the racket to me. :p :D

As I'm sure you know, it depends on your playing style and string tension is another possibility, as well as it's an extra stiff racket, not so easy to wield.

It's a new string. I'd like to try it. :D

Hi GTO-demon, just wonder where you have your at800 stringed, because I know that the string method of at800 is different from other yonex racket. I don't know whether most technicians in Canada know how to string with the new method for at800. That's why I am hesitating whether or not to buy an at800.

BG 65 with 26 all even tension. good control for drop shots and pinpoint accuracy for smashes even from the back line.

Danielg,

Where have you seen BG88Ti being sold here in Manila?

I'm not really sure, I think in one of those stores in GH. But I may be mistaken.

I would've thought BG85 would be a good fit for the offensive 800.

Yes, BG-85 is excellent with the AT800OF. However, I break BG-85 very fast on the AT. Faster than on the MP99. So I can't use BG-85 anymore. :crying:

There is truth to this. My MP99 is not nearly as good as my AT800 with BG-65. I really don't like BG-65 but on my AT800, it's pretty darn good. :D

What exactly didn't you like about the BG68Ti ????

im guessing its because the 68ti feels really hard and dead. i find it great for netting but for powerful overhead shots, its feels kinda dead and no power. however dont let that discourage you, if you remember to get behind the bird and hit it in front of you, im pretty sure you can get enough power.
