Any object travelling faster than the speed of sound makes a sonic boom. Examples you may have heard are bullets, aeroplanes (eg. Concorde) and the ends of whips.

I would think the feathers might disintigrate, given the sudden acceleration, but the cork might hold on. The forces around a sonic boom would likely collapse the bird.

No doubt. If i see a person has a huge cannon smash during drills, I will NEVER ever ask him to play against (or even with) me. :p

Why not play with, LB? You can be sure no opponent would return anything. You'd have it easy in the front. :p

First, you need to construct a shuttle that can stay in one piece for super sonic flight. Second, you need a launching device to fire that shuttle faster than speed of sound. Third, you need someone stand in front to measure and live to tell. Not going to happen...

2) The bird feathers would disintergrate leaving only the cork

Let's see to break the sound barrier the shuttle should be hit at approximatley 1200kmph.almost 4 times faster than the current world record smash by a player

if someone does do it then that someone would probably be from outer space. i doubt there will be anything left of the birdie.and you need more than just shoulders to hit the birdie that fast!
