I am planning to slowly phase out pop/soda from my diet and am contemplating getting a 2.81L bottle of Minute Maid Orange Juice (with pulp) to drink on my breaks between games in each session. Since I am currently drink 3-5 cans of pop on certain days, might as well pay the same price for something more wholesome.
Are there any downside I should know about from O.D'ing on citrus juice:p?

Lots of sugar!
FYI, I used to drink a huge bottle of Mr. Juicy back in HK for every training session.

besides from your friends bringing their own paper cups, bringing a Minuete Maid Family size to games doesn't look bad. (I see people bring bottles of Alberson Apple Juice to games)
I dont think in anyway that it will cause you to lose any advantages drinking juice.

ER... yeah, family size bottle just for me:o... I get really thirsty. BTW, PeterLSD just told me that it'll make my mouth dry if I drink just OJ, so I will drink some water from the fountain in between:p.

What, in between games?! That'd make me sick.

Well, maybe not in between every game but close enough:p. Sometime I might not have enough time on my break to down a can of pop. I figure since 5 cans of pop is roughly the price of a 2.81L O.J., I might as well hit the juice for an added punch of potassium and vitamin C. I just hope that I don't turn orangey like that girl I read in the papers a few years ago who drank Sunny D's so much that her skin turned orange colour:D.

Go with a sports drink like Powerade or Gatorade. You need those essential minerals such as potassium and sodium (to minimize cramps) to keep you going.
