Lin dan Injured??

Guys, I kept watching the WC semi final between Lin and Gade. I noticed that something was wrong with Lin Dan.

Have you guys noticed a kind of bandage on Lin's back? After he won Vs Gade he kept on lifting his shirt. Did he do it on purpose to show an injury?

I know some players wear bandage to protect their muscles but this type of bandage doesn't look like one. Maybe I'm completely wrong...

I know what you're talking about. I think that's the Chinese trend of taping the players down, preventive medicine if you will. Saw this on Zhang Ning, Chen QiQiu, Fu and Cai as well.

ahh yes, it is a chinese method to heal wounds that cannot be seen on the outside like internal bruising. When used, it feels like the area is very nice and cool. I've used this on my fingers many times.

I agree something was wrong with Lin Dan in the last 5-6 points in 3rd set. But if it was due to injury or fatigue I dont know. He indeed also looked tired as in the final. I think the pace of the game totally wore him out, would have been a better final if the semi was played in straight sets or Gade had won...

Li yong bo must give "some times" lin dan to breathe, don't send him in many tournaments in a row, he's just human :)
