It's really weird. It's nice seeing 'old' faces like Gong Zhi Chao and Gong Rui Na playing again. Gong ZC plays with the NS 8000.
They all seem to be wearing different sponsorship outfits...whilst most of them are using their old Yonex racquets. Zhang Gun has a weird pattern logo on his strings that look a little like G for Gosen. Agus Hariyanto is wearing Yonex, but is still using his babolat (on his strings). :confused:

this is the team competition, where players play for their provincal team, hence cai yun plays with zhang jun...also sponsors are sponsoring each provincal team so they will be different.

Some of their attire looks simple yet preety cool.I think it's time they do away with the yellow ones they wear in grand prix tournaments.
The white upper[jacket] worn in the 1st pic of the 2nd page looks nice too.

Apparently the 2 Gongs still got what it takes.
ZN plays for Liao Ling...maybe they didnt have a chance against Jiang Su anyway, so she didn't go all out, but I don't think it's in Zhang Ning's character to do that.
It would be nice to see some results and scores translated, by those with access to the info. ;)

World's top badminton player Lin Dan needs to overcome himself to win men's singles championship at China's 10th National Games, Xie Xingfang said Saturday.
"There will be many players difficult to deal with, but the biggest challenger is nobody else but Lin Dan himself," Xie said while commenting on her boyfriend Lin after the women's team semifinals, in which her team Guangdong crushed People's Liberation Army (PLA) delegation's hope for championship at 3-0.
"Lin Dan and I will try our best to win men's and women's singles titles respectively," Xie said. "Sometimes he wants the title so much that he puts a heavy burden on himself."
Lin lost in the men's singles final of the 2005 World Championships to Indonesian Taufik Hidayat, as observers said the failure was there after Lin pressed himself too much.
Xie and Lin are world number ones in singles, according to latest rankings by the International Badminton Federation.
Xie's Guangdong team will face Hunan in the women's team final on Monday, while Lin's PLA delegation was shut out of the men's team semifinals.

Apart from being a ex-Chinese state player, he is probably playing for Hong Kong SAR, just like Liu/Njoto, fifth picture in post 18.

yang wei ang zhang jie wen still get to play together. that should be a huge advantage for them :D thanks for the pictures ants....it's so fun to see who's paired with whom and the see players that we don't see in international tournaments still playing.

HK is part of China ..so Ng Wei plays in 10th national games..
also we can see Wang Chen in the WS (will start tomorrow)..looking forward to see Wang Chen vs XXF in 2nd round!! should be very exciting..

jiangsu and hunan won the men and women team game severally both by beating guangdong(hmmm, seemingly guangdong lacked of a little luck)
and both 3:2, very tight matches, i think
then hunan achieved the consecutive third champions, very amazing, congratulations to them:)
jiangsu defended sucessfully,i am very happy as a jiangsuese:D
the single matches will begin in oct.11

Zheng Bo with Huang Sui - last time 4 yrs ago they lost to Sun Jun and Ge Fei.
You shoulda seen Huang Sui's face then. She was really mad at Zheng Bo when they were losing. But Sun Jun and Ge Fei were playing so great then!

yes, you are right. Such as Lindan ,he is in the Bayi-team which is sponsored b y SOTX company, so the equipment is sotx. it's interesting that either the MS champion or the WS champion are sponsored by SOTX. some pictures for prove.
