The Team China training is a secret. :p ;)

Seriously, I know for a fact they focus on endurance and speed. I know the men practice smashing for 1 hour continuous every other day or so. Also they practice every shot in the book for hours and hours.

I can find out more in a few days, just need to ask...

I saw a TV program with Kim Dong Moon where he was showing a training technique earned from the Chinese team.

They put a black curtain along the whole net from post to post, from tape to floor so you can't see the other side. Then one player stands in the middle of the court waiting, while the coach from the other side hits shuttles to the four corners.

Because the player can't see the shuttle until it's over the net, he has much less time to move to the shuttle. It speeds up footwork.

Hi,
If they go to train at Shaolin Temple, then, we will have hard time to compete with them. They will use only two fingers to hold the rackets and whack us.:p It will be 15-0.:crying: Extreme sport, man:eek:

Reminds me of a story about a player training with some of the lights off to improve.

I wonder if that would improve your ability to play in a well lit hall or merely improve your ability in a dim hall :)

...same effect as training in a hall with white walls and bright lights.

may be they have a combo training which includes tai chi. Defence seems strong and they can fly high too!:D I saw the koreans doing 1 against 3 players. This shd be a good way to train.

my coach used to do 3 on 1 or 2 on 1 defense for 45-50 min when he was playing for indonesia. His goal was to make the smashers tired.
