Is it a good \ bad idea to string with two diff types of strings? For example, BG 65 for main and BG80 for Cross. Tension is 24/22 lbs.
What do you think?
Thanks in advances.

Do a search on "hybrid" in this forum. The consensus appears to be that it's not as beneficial as it can be in tennis.

Once it comes to equipment, it's hardly a simple right/wrong answer. If possible, try it, and let us have ur own review. ;)

I did BG-65 main and BG-85 cross with good results. But it was not good enough for me to change over from BG-80. I now use BG-80 exclusively because it lasts me about a 1-2 weeks which is more than adequate for me.
You should always go lower on the mains and higher on the cross so it should be 22/24 and 24/22. :p

You typed "24/22". The main string is first, cross second; at least usually. :p

S4MadMan,
have you tried the other way around? in theory, since the cross are shorter than the mains, one should use thicker strings there to ensure that the mains/cross have similar response.
think of them like guitar strings, you want the longer mains and shorter cross to bounce at the same tone/rate, then you want to have thinner mains, and thicker cross.

Nope, haven't tried it. The reason why I use a thicker main string is because I always break the main string, never the cross string.
