Can you please clarify the statment "The TC team will be evaluated and decided based on the results at All-England"?
Out of all Chinese MS players, many players advanced much further in the draw than Xia. That doesn't mean that Xia Xuanze is not going to Thomas Cup, or does it? It would be big loss to China if they did not select Xia to play on the Thomas Cup just because Agus pulled of the upset.
Similarly speaking, CHEN Qiqiu & LIU Yong got eliminated in the round of 16, while CHENG Rui & Wang Wei advanced futher. Does that mean Cheng and Wang are going to Thomas Cup? While Chen and Liu will be on reserve?
In today's quarter finals, Chen Yu is playing against Bao. That is very clear that the loser of this match will not play for China in 3rd singles, but the winner still need to compete with Lin Dan and Luo Yigang (ie assuming Xia and Cheng Hong are playing 1st and 2nd singles)
