but got a feelings my friend made a typo error and its suppose to be;

090552IP

would this still mean its fake though???

What you should do is post this in the 'Post your Yonex serial numbers here! (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23268&page=4)' thread - I am assuming it is a Yonex racquet. Make sure to mention where your friend bought it, and give the serial number on the shaft too (it should be a 7-digit number). Also note down the model of racquet.
