1st pic is right after Yang Wei/ Zhang JieWen were asked by our local TV station (TVB) to shout a slogan into the camera.

The last one is the commentary box. Anybody recognise those infamous characters? :p

They did a good job of the commentary - I was sitting there next to them at one stage.

Not sure if the following information is true but I think Sally has an important position within IBF helping us promote the sport (or is going to have).

I think Sally has also presented prizes at the HK Open in the past but before Xie Xing Fang's appearance as a fully flegded top player. So it's natural for both of them to get introduced to each other by a common aquaintance. After all, it may be Chan Chi Choi who wanted to introduce them to each other.

I'm not really reading too much into at the moment. Since I don't know either of them very well (or Chan Chi Choi for that matter), my view is not to make such a harsh judgement now. Yes, Sally could have gone down to the floor area - but does it matter? Sally may have felt a bit shy in approaching an unknown person and perhaps asked Chan Chi Choi for an introduction. I feel the most appropriate thing is to remain open minded about the matter first. Appearances can be deceiving...even though people say a camera never lies! :D

Hello Ms or Mr. Red, and others who have misinterpreted,

This is Sally. I would like to say that making "assumptions" and "jumping to conclusions" is a job for the meddling paparazzi / reporters, not for decent badminton lovers such as in this forum. We "just singers" and "just actors" already have a bad time with the media praying on us like animals, but it is a surprise to see that mentality here.

Let me tell you honestly that I DID NOT ask Xie Xing Fang to come and see me, which is, quite a callously wild guess. She asked whoever that man was to BRING HER OVER TO ME to ask me for a personal favour for her on behalf of Lin Dan which is something you won't need to know. I've never had any intention of looking for her on the court or anywhere else. I'm afraid I know what it is like to have groupies chasing me, so I would not make it a point to bother other people. It took me nearly 1 hour of immediately making many phone calls (missing many parts of the doubles games) to fulfill that favour for her and she thanked me endlessly for it. She was very polite when she asked me, and I was happy I could do something for her. I told her how well she played and that was that. I guess since she didn't know my number, as we, "just singers", don't JUST hand them out, and she didn't know me in person, her only alternative was to come up into the seating to ask me. OBVIOUSLY that is NOT alright with YOU. :(

I am writing to you now because I hope you make it a point to adjust your inaccurate thinking. There's already enough negative people in this world. I would like to believe most people are GOOD at heart so if you happen to see something that is clearly, "none of your business", then you shouldn't make it your business to make a snide comment which is so completely... to quote you exactly..."just not appropriate". It is harmful to misinterpret to a wide audience, something you know nothing about, as no one, including yourself, knows the truth about such a harmless personal incident, until now. I'm sure that Xie would not come up to me if she thought some people would think like you have. The worst thing about paparazzi and reporters is that all the false rumors they spread are believed by the innocent people that read their defamatory writings. We artists cannot protect ourselves from those wolves, but we hope that decent people outside of that vicious circle will not bare the same claws. Thank you for your consideration to get your facts straight before digging your teeth in, OR, better yet, leave other peoples business as.... JUST THAT....Other peoples business.

Sally, the singer

I know you are very upset about this, but please forgive him because it seems
that he's a big fan of Xie's, and I think you know how some fans could over-react
with respect to their idols. :p

For what it's worth, I've always thought that you and Xie were just having a
friendly chat and Xie was probably expressing how excited she was to meet
you.

It's really great to see photos of you at the HongKong open. I'm sure your
presence would have promoted badminton even more in Hong Kong. You are
doing a great job promoting our beloved sport!

Have a nice day.

Hello NP,

I do appreciate you for your understanding and of course your acceptance of the TRUTH be told, but I only know how excited Fans can be which is why I tell my Fans to respect every other Artists and I really won't respect them as my fans if they miscontrue or disrepect other Artists. Obviously you are a kind and big hearted person, but I want to voice this out not for the purpose of my own reputation or name but because I hope this person will learn a valuable lesson about other peoples feelings, and ask himself, what can he gain by miscontruing a situation to the malicious degree that he has resulted in? Of course he is only one person but it only takes one to be disruptive or destructive. IF he cares so much about his idol, then I can only say, if Xie were to see what he thinks and wrote, she would literally fall off her rocker in shock.

I find it rather amusing that Red would say I didn't stand up to greet his Idol. I didn't get up, 1st because there was no reason to (I certainly don't expect ANYone to get up for ME) 2nd, I had no idea she was heading my way until she actually got to me. I too, was surprised that the guy climbed over everyone to me and asked if Xie can ask me something. I think people even moved out the way so Xie could get to me. Immediately I bent forward to pull her over to me cos she was standing on the second tier below me. If I were to stand I would be 5 feet taller than her. I could barely hear her cos she is so painfully shy and I'm sure she felt awkward coming to look for me too. I kept going "huh?....huh?" to hear what she was saying.

I certainly wouldn't have such a creative thought to ask ANYone to come all the way to the audience section and CHAT with me? I have no idea where his mind travelled to it's deepest depths to accuse me. About WHAT would I chat with her at that moment when the FINALS are going on? I came to WATCH the games. That's what I was there for!

I just find it mind boggling that some people, BESIDES people that berate people for a living, would make such defamatory accusations, WITHOUT even having so much as an aquaintance with those people, or being right smack there with his ears WAY UP listening in on the conversation. ALL Red SAW was her walking up to talk to me and he can fabricate his own miserable FAIRY TALE! THAT is quite UNbelieveable and furthermore UNacceptable by my standards as a human being... not as a public figure. I was just a plain old badminton enthusiast, sitting as an audience member, minding my own business like everyone else, enjoying a thoroughly entertaining badminton tournament. H aha.. from now on I'll have to look out for this culprit at the games....

Anyways, I do hope he will learn something positive from this.

Hello Kamen,

I am so saddened tooooo Kamen! I hope badminton won't end up with the cutthroat sports maniacs like some soccer nuts that want to kill everyone that roots for another team. That is why I'm writing soo much! :o I don't expect anyone to be my fan. That is a freedom of choice. I do admire other Artists too and there is no one specific I like. I appreciate people for their talents whatever kind of Artists they are.

You know, even Cheung who took the photos here came over and introduced himself to me. I thought that was very sweet of him. I didn't know him but he was very polite and friendly. I was happy to meet a face from this written forum. Certainly I did not "summon" him to come have a word with me too. :p It's a very small badminton world in HKG still, which I was disappointed to see. In 5 days time even the finals was not completely filled. The stadium only seats 3000. The VIP seats were never full and most of the days, empty seats were abundant. It is not unusual to meet many players of aquaintance in such a small stadium coming up left and right to say HI. BUT the good news is that badminton is the most played sport in HKG, far more than tennis or squash. There are more than 50 venues to play badminton in HKG alone. It is a fast growing sport, here and everywhere else.

I do hope I can use whatever fame and name I have to promote badminton which is a sport I really really love to an obsessive degree! :D I just hope I can do some good for the sport.

Hello BM,
I totally agree and I felt so bad for my friends cos I bought 7 $300 dollar front row seats but were far right of the courts. On the finals I looked over to the front seats for my friends only to discover not a single one of them were there! They all somehow found passes from the coaches and ended up sitting in the court area for the press and players seats, which were ALL empty, or empty VIP seats . Ended up Sunrise was so kind to give me 6 passes during the first game and I didn't use them cos all my friends had passes too! Too bad I didn't know you then! So some better organisation can be applied for sure.

Actually QE is a great venue for badminton cos anywhere you sit, no matter how high up is a good view, but the VIP, then the VVIP allotted tickets took up all the best seats. I'm sure they did this because they know the the box office for badminton is not quite there yet. I hope one day Badminton will be at the HKG coliseum which can seat 12,000 max.

Dear Red,

Hi there! I seriously don't understand why you would even equate Xia to being a "prosti...". Poor girl. She is an athlete, of course. But she is human, very much like yourself. Does walking up to someone for a chat in the midst of a badminton game make her one? You are indeed very subjective. Even if you are, perhaps you shouldn't impose your views on others.

Sally Yeh is JUST a singer. Well, you are JUST a photojournalist so, does that make you MORE important? ;)

Good day.

Regards, Sally

Dear Sally,

Greetings! I am appalled by those who do not know how to respect others and more so by those who believe that they have a right to judge every public figure they meet; athelete or singer. By virtue of your status, you can perform many acts of charity and kindness. Nonetheless, I cannot comprehend why wouldn't the media focus on such benevolence. Is it so difficult to accept the sincerity of a person? Is it morally crippling to allow a singer to enjoy a badminton game peacefully and to talk to anyone in good faith?

I totally understand your situation because everyone needs time of their own to do things in private without having the worry of being watched constantly. Imagine one is being CCTVed all-year-round.

I am really sorry that you have to go through all these mess. I do KNOW you are a GOOD person. :D

Have a nice day and with fond regards,

Wendy

She is Xie ;) .

Dear Red,

Well, you are JUST a photojournalist so, does that make you MORE important? ;)

Good day.

Yours,

did u remember how xie xangfang got there cheung? chan chi choi (the hk coach) brought her there!
i think chan shouldn't do that. xia is an athlete not a prosti....! anyone who wanna see her. just see her on court! u may talk to her if she's nearby! but send somebody to bring her somewhere for a chat. it's just not appropriate! besides, sally yeh wasn't that important! she's just a singer. that's all!

Red,

First of all, there is no need to say Prosti... Be a man and spell it out especially when you are calling the #1 woman's singles in the world that word. Just Come out and say it. Dont be shy !! Based on your post, you are not, so dont try to appear nice and civilized when you are obviously not. Thank you.

Second of all, If you ever read some of my previous posts I usually talk about proof being crucial when you are accusing another of doing or committing something in-appropriate. In your post, there is just no proof. A simple observation in favor or not in favor of the parties involved simply does not warrant the language and words you used agsint them. Do you know anything about giving people the benefit of the doubt ?? I cant believe what you can get out of a simple meeting between a star badminton player and a star singer!! Next time I strongly suggest unless you were part of that conversation in that meeting you keep your visious speculations to yourself and your incredibly rude assumption to yourself. I have read your posts and you are obviously not living in the same world as the rest of us as you think people need to get up from their seats to show respect while overlooking the fact that if Sally stood up she would be looking into space and probably cant hear a word Xie said in an ongoing badminton Finals match.

Xie and Sally,

I been in USA most of my life so I know how difficult it is to promote badminton. I really appreciate your love for the sport and I hope Red has learned the facts in this meeting and I feel that we have really "troubled" you Sally to even have to come to this forum and defend yourself.

hello ms.yeh,

my bad! i just shouldn't make any silly assumption. i apologize for that.
in fact, i should had gone straight to the point that i didn't feel comfortable with the way you met xie. to be honest ms. yeh. personally i didn't hate you and xie wasn't one of my favourite player. you were right. that's none of my business.
u know. i didn't start a threat, post a picture and make an accusation against you. i took more than 10gb of images of the hk open but none of them was you and xie at that scene. not a single one of them! coz i wasn't a paparazzi. i was sick of that word and sick of what they had done! believe it or not. i had totally forgotten about that scene until i saw a picture that'd reminded me my feeling on that day once again.
alright, you said that you certainly don't expect anyone to get up for you and if you were to stand you would be five feet taller than xie. ok, fair enough. you got your points. but did i say u gotta stand "laser straight" for whole time? i wonder what's gonna happen if the same thing that happen to you once again. but this time the one who stand in front of you is president hu jintao or mr. donald tsang.
no matter who wanna meet who. getting up a bit for a second with a handshake is only basic stuff. i will do it when i meet a ceo of an international company. i will also do that when someone introduce me a salesman of a local department store. it isn't hard to do. is it?
finally, i apologize once again for my silly assumptions and those inaccurate thinking that annoying you in the past few days.
i do hope u will keep on supporting badminton central and keep on promoting such kinda great sport.

regards

Hello Red,

I appreciate that you understand my concern to justify the situation in this forum regarding your misunderstanding. I'm glad you realise that sometimes things can get very twisted out of proportion if you don't know the facts properly. The worst thing is that other people will believe what you write or say and it becomes harmful. This is how idle gossip gets started and it is very hurtful. I'm sure you didn't realise that, but I hope you do now.

To address the standing issue. I HAVE met Donald Tsang many times and many other dignitaries or important people during my career. If we are in a formal situation where we are having a meeting or a formal introduction at a dinner, there will be a need to stand up. Usually the women don't stand, only the Men if it's a dinner. I believe you will find this rather traditional fact in any etiquette book. I was brought up the old fashion way. I do stand up for my Parents friends at anytime though cos they are "the elderly". The only occassion women stand is usually when everyone is already standing, in a reception or cocktail. When I met Prince Phillip we did stand because that is a line up where he shook hands and greeted and everyone is standing and also it is protocol for Royalty. When I met Donald Tsang, he stood up to greet me cos I walked to my table which his seat was beside mine and he was already sitting at the table. He stood but his wife did not which is the norm. When I met Tung Kin Wah it was in my friends house and he plopped down on the couch in front of me and I did not stand, I just said HI. I didn't know them but we met thru friends dinners so no need for such formality. I just had dinner with Jackie Chan and Jacky Cheung last week, Jackie Cheung was already there when I arrived so he didn't stand up, Jackie Chan came in late and no one stood up. I'm not saying it's wrong that you stand though. Just sometimes not that necessary. I can tell you if Hu Jin Tao came to look for me in the badminton stands, I wouldln't even pay attention to him cos I'd be so engrossed in the games. It was only Xie cos I like her so much that I pull her over. One of the guys in the photos, the one where Cheung says looks like he's having fun. He's Indian with the green suit. That is Punch Gunalan. He is the Vice President of IBF international and he gave me my seat. He came up to greet me and I teasingly told him he was blocking my view.

In Xie's case, to be honest I would not stand. Not because of who I am, but it is not a neccessity and it was a very awkward situation being that I was already very embarrassed that other people were looking. If I were to stand up, ALOT of people would stare and that would disrupt THEIR viewing of the game, and probably embarrass Xie too because she looked terribly uncomfortable walking up the stairs. I'm sure if there were some other way she could have gotten what she needed she would not look for me. Maybe the question you should ask is, why didn't XIE request that I go down to the sidelines to greet her? I think the answer is... she was being polite by coming to me to ask for help. In any case Red, she needed a favour which she thought I could help her with, and I did. It's really as simple as that. If you can keep your thinking simplistic, I think you would have much more peace within yourself.

Anyways, good luck with everything and hope alot of goodness comes out of this for you. Since you are in HKG maybe we will meet on the courts one day. In that circumstance I'm sure I might be standing. :D

I'm sorry others have to put up with this personal issue but I do believe integrity and morale plays an important role in sports too. One must have a good mental mind to play or understand a good game. I'm told sportsmanship is above all the most important element to get to the top, so, to have good sportsmanship we must all start out with healthy charactaristics. Hope you will agree. :p

>>OH yes, I know.. but I have to take baby steps. Jacky Cheung is playing now but it took me 5 years to talk him into it! When Singers do concerts at HKG Coliseum, everyone sends flowers, but I send Badminton racquets! I just hope they will get started! I'm just trying to do what I can to promote it more to get everyone to play now. That is a start. I'm working with a Club called GGBC Golden Gate Badminton Club in San Francisco too. My friend is founder and so far it is very successful since it opened in June 11, 2005. It is a fantastic club and I urge you all to visit if you go that way. We have a site in this forum too which is at USA WEST, under PLACES TO PLAY. That is how I know of BC. Also the website www.ggbadminton.com (http://www.ggbadminton.com/). Please go take a look. I'm such a badminton groupie and fanatic. I will do whatever I can do tell everyone the benefits of Badminton. I get VERY excited when I play. So much so I can't sleep at night thinking of my shots and what not. :D

Punch Gunalan is a malaysian and he was once a great badminton player in his old days. Most of all, he was the team manager who managed to help malaysia getting back the Thomas Cup in 1992.

Is it true that you are getting a post in IBF later?

I was trying to get a seat for the final, unfortunately, it was SOLD OUT!!!
It was disappointing to see that the stadium eventually had empty seats that were not sold to fans. I know of a few more badminton fans that could not get seats for the final.

Yes, my friend, you are a fellow Singaporean who queued just behind me when I was getting my tickets for the QF and SF but was told that the Finals tickets were all sold out. How disappointed I was then but luckily another BF'er who came all the way from Brisbane, managed to get a HK$90 ticket for me through an acquaintance he made at the QE Stadium itself.

As you probably know, I bought the cheaper tickets for both sessions of the QF and SF for a total sum of HK$100 and this, together with the cost of the Finals ticket, were relatively more expensive than less than S$20 for the season ticket for all matches we paid for the Aviva Singapore Open 2005.

Another point to note is that whereas the Singapore Open charged on a whole day basis, the HKO charged separately for the two sessions for each day. Maybe they should get more sponsors to bring the price down to enable more badminton fans to watch at least the earlier rounds, since the Finals were all taken up much earlier, in part due to company sponsorship for clients, quite a number of whom did not turn up, unfortunately!

As Sally has said, the QE Stadium is rather viewer friendly in that it is relatively small in size and capacity. Even the cheaper ticket seats are not too far different from the more expensive ones as everyone is quite close to the centre court. However, I suppose in trying to put in more seats into a small space, there is little room left for walking between seats and not a few spectators resorted to climbing over the railings to get out.

In comparison, our Singapore Indoor Stadium is more comfortable and can hold much bigger crowds. The Finals of the Aviva Open this year saw a record attendance of over 8,000. So it will not be too far-fetched to shift the venue to the larger (and more comfortable?) HK Coliseum one day as suggested by Sally.

But Sally, you are really a badminton fanatic and we are all proud of you and hope you will continue to enjoy being an ambassador for badminton to especially your 'famed' friends. :)

Yup...I was standing behind you and was in fact looking for you after I bought those tickets. Too bad, I could not find you! Wel, I am actually still an Indonesian citizen, but have been in Singapore since I was young. That's why I said that I am from Singapore too :D

Actually, the view from my seat is also good (HK$20). I could watch all the matches. The only disadvantage is that I have to walk all the way up and when I switched seats during the match, the stewards pointed out that those seats were HK$50, so, I had to go back to my own seats.

I was disappointed to see them charging tickets for separate sessions, even during the first few rounds. As far as I know, tickets for the Indonesia Open and probably Singapore Open were free to public up to the quarter-final stage. Then, you do have to pay for one session a day. Is that correct?

The television coverage in HK was disappointing as well because they only have like 2 hrs telecast at TVB Pearl during the semis and final. I had to go to Shenzhen to watch the Finals at GDTV. I know I can use pplive, but, for the final, I would rather watch the matches without any delay.

Hi Sally,

I'm a big badminton fan, just like you, that's why I'm here. But I also play squash fairly often. So from what I can tell, everything you say about badminton also applies to squash. To quote you - "about outsmarting your opponent with speed and mental calculation so it benefits mind and body". Please give squash a try. It's miuch more than just hitting the ball against the wall. You may find them equally fun.

BTW, at the age you mentioned, I think the worst injury is a ruptured achilles tendon, not tennis elbow. Ask Eric Tsang if you have a chance, he probably will tell you.

Hope to meet you on the court one day.

You've got to be kidding. Squash is a war of attrition :) Reason I kept to badminton was the excitement of seeing the "smash"!:D It's an extra dimension to the game that squash doesn't have.

[QUOTE=doublewings]

Well.. of course the squash is my own personal opinion, no offence to squash lovers. I have tried both squash and racquet ball against the wall. I suppose it's just not a suitable sport for me. I used to play tennis too for 6 years and now I can't even hold the racquet it's so heavy. I guess I'm only connected to badminton. I just find badminton fascinating though. I think the speed and the anticipation of where your opponent is going to hit is amazing. With Squash the wall hits you back and you kind of know where it's going but badminton is alot of anticipation and the speed at which you can anticipate and move your body to that spot. I mean when you see the WC players, they need to decide where to hit the birdie in a split second. Mike was just telling me that he had a breakthrough to try to connect the dots by thinking 5 shots ahead!! How CAN?? He said while he is hitting one shot he needs to anticipate where his opponent will return shot so he can get there first and hit his next shot and so on... I can't even think 1 shot ahead let alone 5, but he can do it and so can his friend and coach at GGBC Jinsong. When I was chatting with WC players they were "studying" their opponents on video so they think one whole game ahead.

Of course the WORSE injury is ruptured achilles tendon which my friend and my friends friend both ruptured and my friend, in fact, Mike Yang owner of GGBC spent 1 full month in hospital and 1 depressing year in therapy, but I can tell you, tennis elbow is depressing enough too cos I been having it now for 4 months and I'm very miserable....:( But I will just make sure I have a SPARE in my left arm!

Oh, sad to hear that you're sufferring from tennis elbow now. I think I know how frustrating it can be. Had it a few years ago and end up have to take a complete rest for 4 months or so. Now it's okay but have to wear an elblow support whenever I play badminton, squash or tennis, for protection and precaution if nothing else. The bad thing is I don't feel comfortable swinging the clubs anymore. Guess won't be 100% anymore. :(

So if you can allow your elbow to have a complete rest, for that i mean put away your racquets, for a couple of months, i guess you should be fine. Hope you get over it soon and enjoy badminton to its fullness again. :)

You've got to be kidding. Squash is a war of attrition :) Reason I kept to badminton was the excitement of seeing the "smash"!:D It's an extra dimension to the game that squash doesn't have.

Doublewing is spot on about squash. Unless you know how to play it well, you'll just see it as hitting a ball against a wall. Squash is a tremendous sport requiring most of the attributes of badminton (footwork, anticipation, stamina, racket control and skill).

tennis elbow is depressing enough too cos I been having it now for 4 months and I'm very miserable....:( But I will just make sure I have a SPARE in my left arm!

You could work on your footwork in the meantime :p Doesn't require you to swing a racket.

That's like a no way impossible to stay away unless I'm immobile which I will still try to find a way then. I don't know how I lived without badminton before. My friend told me she pained for 9 months so there is still hope for me. I'm wearing every kind of protection device on the market. I look like some kind of robot or something. ha ha.. :crying: Thanx for your sympathy though!

Yes this is one of the reasons i stopped training full time here. The achilles is so important for badminton, i felt when i strengthen the muscle at the gym it really helped prevent my injury.

Oh, I'm not saying sqaush does not have the attributes of - footwork, anticipation, stamina, racket control and skill. It has all of those. Once you get to a high level, the rallies become very prolonged. Badminton has an extra dimension that is not so available to players of squash.
Badminton has variations in the game which are available to even occasional palyers of the game.

Ive only started to pick up squash in the last few months, but becoz of my "not so strong" baddy, tennis and maths (trig :p ) background, after learning how to hit to the backwall, Ive managed to kick everybody including the guys in local team.... I dont see that as competitive as badminton and smashing in squash is just like another rally (not an instant kill) but the good thing is that one can play alone. Just my 2cents.. :D

Well.. of course the squash is my own personal opinion, no offence to squash lovers.

Hi Sally, I've been in a car accident a year or so ago and was forced to play baddy with my left arm since I was so addicted to the sport. After playing for a month or 2, Ive managed to pick up my left leg footwork and since my recovery, I was left with a more than confused footwork that was like a twisting lizard... but the inspiring thing is that I found my slices (LH) to be more accurate (I could feel and pin point it) and faster than the same action for the RH and my logic of the game has gone up to a new level. So, yeah injuries are not always bad. Just make sure you give it enough rest. :D

Fortunately I would be visiting HK at the end of the year. So, probably see you on court then! ( if you play in public stadiums, that is! :) )

Dude, you should be awarded BF's most fanatical badder under injury. Your determination not to quit the game and to use your left side is just amazing. Do you look at life differently now that you can use left and right side? :)

Thats very modest of you Pete LSD, its just that my baddy group was constantly running out of people (just like Mah Jong :p ) so I was forced to be recruited.. Determination was needed even to hold on to a shuttle with my right hand in the first week.. :o

To be honest with you, its kinda hard to explain... the most noticible thing is net kill, since my left arm was much weaker than my right, I turned myself into more of a control type of player at the net, aiming at weaknesses like the opponents body. I used to be more of a speed and power type of player, realising a lot of wasted opportunities of net kills were me driving outa bounds.

I also do a lot of cross court shots with my left hand, it felt abit SMOOTHER somehow.. anyways, end of the **** talks :o

just like any other injuires sustained, LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN :p

I'ts OK Manabu. The press have taken photos of me there UMPTEEN Times. Lesley used to play there too. When the HKG games were going on, I was lucky enough to get Xie Zhong Bo to come and play with me when he arrived. There was press outside waiting and when we went to eat after they followed us but so fortunate for me, I hid behind a post during the whole meal so they were never able to get a photo of us together, otherwise they would write alot of innuendo which they did for Loletta when Xie played with us again another day. Actually there were 2 other people there during the dinner, Xie's doubles partner, Little Guo, and another friend of mine, as well as me on the opposing team against Loletta and Xie but they don't ever photograph everything, only what can make a false and juicy story. I don't mind if everyone wants to come play badminton with me. It's OK. Badminton is healthy. I'm not sniffiing cocaine or anything. If I can make one person interested enough to come watch me play and want to play themselves then WELCOME! :D

As for playing with good players, I FORCE them to play with me. Won't take NO for an answer. They have no choice. Oh Xie didn't hit me, he played with me against our A players in South China. If Xie hit me I'd be in the hospital! Xie hit a high right corner court, then the guy hit a cross court smash. I didn't expect him to smash from so far back. I'm just skittling about the front like a frantic crab. I should have held up racquet but my left hand is so unco-ordinated I don't know WHAT I"m doing. So I got smacked! I'm just kidding that it's his fault hee hee... of course I'm the one that should get OUT of the way. I've noticed the great players always blame themselves if the OPPONENT hits a bad shot. They blame themselve for FEEDING a bad shot, so that the opponent returns a good shot that cannot be defended. So Xie said he hit a bad shot to them that's why they got the angle to smack my way... Mike says the same thing. I hope I can get the skill to hit good enough that opponent can't return shot so well!

BTW Bay Area open is on in SFO 19-20. Mike Yang and Jinsong is playing there and I'm nervous. Hope they WIN!

He was quite profusely sorry about me getting hit but did not give me any hints. He did give me hints on the defence when people are smashing DOWN at me to my waste area. But not at the head. I think he blamed himself so much for that shot that he didn't think it was my problem.
