download the 1.0.9.7 version, it takes approx 10mins for me to buffer, so be patient.

tyI was going to ask why you didn't just click "English" from the PPLive homepage but then I realized that the only download link on the English page is version 1.07. In Chinese, the latest is Version 1.0.9.7 (http://www.pplive.com/download/PPLiveSetup1.0.9.7.exe) . Just click on that link. The new version still gives you English menus if you right click the icon in the system tray.

I find no peers for GDTV now and CCTV has soccer on now. Until tomorrow, then? Wait, maybe not. I got 0 peers using 1.0.9.6 but now things are different. Still no badminton. I see a cartoon but I do see the GDTV logo.

It seems that Guangdong Sports (http://www.gdtv.com.cn/newpage/sports/ttdb.asp)is replaying even today's footage or possibly delaying coverage of the evening games. From 00:40 to 03:40 Thursday. This is Beijing / Hong Kong time which, as your MS Windows clock setup box will tell you, is GMT +8h. Who knows if enough people will be on PPLive at that time, though.

I only watched the second half, but it was a very good game and I thought XXZ could win the second set when he was leading 16-14. But it didn't last long. :mad:

By that I mean the two-day old one didn't work and the day-old one did. I get the impression that a lot of the upgrades with these stream-sharing programs are crucial.

As long as you have the language support installed, you should be able to just do a text search on that page. There are sometimes 3 pages of channels in the list though. Yesterday GDTV was on page 2. Right now, I see it on the first page.

Really? SopCast's been working fine for me so far. I've been using it, in conjunction with PPLive, for about 3 months or so. One nice feature I like about the SopCast client is that I can record the stream I'm watching very easily.

Quite a few people use it that I can see. The more popular channels (e.g., ESPN, CCTV5) can have upwards of 200 users at any one time.

I tried PPStream, but the install script---or was it the client itself?---doesn't seem to support English. So, all the text came out gibberish. Tough to use if I can't read what it says. :(
