They're reliable, good communication and trustworthy based on my own experience. But, just in case you haven't noticed, they're located in HK. So, shipping to the west coast of Canada may take some time (i.e., at least a week or more).

Don't worry be happy. :D

MyBadmintonStore is absolutely trustworthy, I've purchased many things from them. To the U.S. some times the shipping does take a bit longer because they are in HK.

Just to report my current ordering problems with the store. This is my first time dealing with mybadmintonstore.

I placed my order on 2/28 and according to mybadmintonstore, my order was shipped out on 3/4 via singapore post. However, today is 3/30, and I have not yet receive my order. It has been more than a month of time already.

I contacted the store and they told me to wait for it. Well, I don't know how much longer it will take, but it is certainly very slow.

Further updates will be posted when I receive my order.

Wow, that's unfortunate. Hopefully you'll receive everything and there was some mix-up/confusion with the shipping (international shipping) and not the store. Please keep us posted Jeff, thanks.

weirdperson, there is no differnece between coded rackets. One reason for the higher price is because the JP code had to be imported over, therefore resulting in a higher price.

Why don't you ask the store? People here are not the store clerks and they cannot guarantee anything for you.

Any Shipping and handling fees? You need to learn to read the web pages before you buy anything online or you will be in trouble sooner or later.

My first experience with My Badminton Store took a while, about a month, and only shipped to my credit card address. But subsequent orders were a lot quicker and I was able to ship to another address using their login/order system. I'm very pleased with their products & prices and have never had a problem with my orders.

Definitely a delay in shipping, not the postal service.

Actually, the postal service lost the shipment (it was insured), which explains the Mar. 28 because MBS sent a new one. I happened to ask them about BlueJeff, when inquiring about my own order before they sent mine off.

Then that's good to know, but I feel they should have contacted Blue Jeff about the delay.

Yup, you got a good point. I assumed BJ or MBS had tried to communicate with one another on a regular to follow up with what happened.

Actually, the postal service lost the shipment (it was insured), which explains the Mar. 28 because MBS sent a new one. I happened to ask them about BlueJeff, when inquiring about my own order before they sent mine off.

No, it was not insured as they only use registered mail. Registered mail is not the same as Insured mail.

No, as far I as know, they didn't send me a new one until two days ago

Now I have to deal with the extra parcel that is on the way. The store emailed me and asked me if I would either buy it again (I don't think so) or ship it back (why should I pay for the return shipping?)
What I am going to do is when it arrives, I will refuse the parcel and let the post office return it back to the store. If the post office is unwilling to accept international returns, I have no choice but to leave it at the post office and let them decide what to do with it.

There is no way I would spend another penny on this order.

I don't know about that as the store kept on telling me to wait for the parcel to arrive in past 4 weeks.

BJ, were you happening to talk with the owner or staff?

winstonchan
04-10-2006, 11:58 PM
OK. To clear up confusions and uncertainties and rumors, here are the facts:

Feb 28. Order received from Bluejeff and acknowledged.

Mar 4 (US March 3). Packet collected from MBS HK office by Spring Global Mail (www.atspring.com (http://www.atspring.com)), a JV company between Royal Mail, Singapore Post and TNT Netherlands. We use this company in addition to Hongkong Post as our primary mail forwarder.

Packet follows standard airmail route and probably lands in USA at one of the West Coast ports, Custom cleared, then USPS should take care of it from this moment onward. From my experience, US Custom clearance could take anything from 3 days to 2 weeks.

Jeff, the label that reads March 28, can you please confirm if it is a USPS stamped label on the envelope? If it is then you know how long USPS took to deliver your parcel.

Jeff, I hope you do appreciate our sincerity in getting the issued resolved by sending you the replacement items, as my staff and I do too to all other customers, as quickly as we can in ensuring you get your products in a safe and timely manner. Registered mail do take a little longer, but they will definitely and eventually arrive, as it is a registered packet.

If you do not wish to spend money sending the replacement packet back nor to accept this as a second order, please by all means refuse it or just mark "please send it back to the sender".

Thank you,

The only post-marks that I can find on the package are all in black fonts, "MAR 28 2006". I am positive these marks are not USPS stamped-labels as I am a frequent customer who visit USPS nearly every day. All USPS stamps are not in that font nor in that type of format, color, or style.

I promise that I will return the 2nd shipment (once I receive it) to post office and have them to process the return works.

Still waiting for a purchase from him.. AUS Post doing their usual delays :)

I've e-mailed him before about this, but the NS8000 3U G5 is not something Yonex AU is thinking of bringing in. I'm trying to get used to a lot of different grip sizes in the meantime... Am enjoying AT800OFF 3UG3

Just to note though.. Both Mybadmintonstore.com and Chris sells NS9000 for about the same price (assuming forex doesn't change drastically). For me anyways, since delivery have to be included :)

I just received my Arcsaber 10 from the mybadmintonstore... packing was easily the worst I have ever seen in my life (it was inbetween two styrofoam boards with a little bit of paper around it). The racquet came fine, but the strings were not in the color I had ordered and my racquet didn't come with the Arcsaber bag... just some crappy fabric thing. I'm not impressed. I wont order from them ever again. (I did this time because the arcsaber 10 isn't available in the U.S. yet).

It is normal to get the fabric bag. For me its exclusive not 'crappy'. The Arcsaber 'banana' bag will only come with SP coded racket. All high end JP version rackets come with the cloth bag

em160
03-15-2008, 03:00 PM
Exclusive? You can buy the cloth bag for $7 on many sites... the banana bag is totally unavailable anywhere... I would say it's more exclusive. And it protects the racquet much better in my opinion.

What I mean by exclusive is you will not get the cloth bag if you buy any other coded racket other than JP coded. Only JP version comes with it and that makes it exclusive :D. But I agree that the banana bag protects the racket better :).

I see, so I guess that's not mybadmintonstore's fault. But the string is still kind of annoying.. on the receipt it clearly says gold. I got the red strings... in combination with an arcsaber 10 it wont look very good. I'm having it strung now, so I'll see if it looks ok. And the packaging... I cannot believe the racquet is still in one piece.

I felt annoyed as well when I ordered 4 hi-qua flying clamps but received 3 hi-qua clamps and 1 MBS flying clamp.... But what the heck...there is no much difference between the Hi-qua and MBS flying clamp.

I'm planning to restring my Arc 10 with red NBG98.....:p:p:D:D:D

I've changed my mind about mybadmintonstore.com... I had never bought a JP racket before so I didn't know what the bag was :o. The guy did send me the wrong colored string, however it does actually look nice on my racket (in my opinion), and he did contact me and apologize.

The biggest problem I have with his store is the terrible packing he sent my racket in, but hopefully with the new order I just placed he will do a better job. He is very helpful and is easy to get ahold of, at least during midnight here :).

I will continue to order here only because he has stuff that isn't available in the U.S., but otherwise I prefer badmintonalley.

So for anyone interested in ordering from this store, I would say that it's trustworthy and the shipping is fast (2 days from Hong Kong to my house in the U.S.).

I've had no probs with them either. I bought a racket (88 holes 2007) and some strings (ashaway A68ti.. which are great btw!). Each shipment took about 2 1/2 weeks from HK to Montreal, CANADA; I also received regular e-mails in b/n giving me updates on the shipment status. I'd certainly buy from them again!

hello guys! i just registered, great forums! greetings from germany

all you guys seem to be very fond of mybadmintonstore.com and i've been planning to buy a racquet from them but then i found something strange:

http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25_27_91_94&products_id=434

it's the yonex 10011 jersey - now compare the one from mbs with this:

http://www.racketshop.ch/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=1170

i know the one shown in the second link is genuine - because yonexusa.com picture of 10011 looks just like it.
then i saw the one on mbs and i think it's obviously a fake:
- the middle of the shirt should be a bit paler
- the yy-logo is white instead of black

so what do you think? - i'd really like to buy from mybadmintonstore.com as you all said that they sell genuine products but i am not so sure now..

Another double thumbs up for MBS from me. The first time I ordered I was a bit dubious (it'll take forever, language barrier, might get ripped off etc) but it went completely smoothly. I am now a regular customer.

They accept Paypal payments, their delivery is free to UK and takes no more than two weeks (ten days, usually) and Winston is one of the friendliest most helpful people you could ever hope to encounter. In addition, they have stuff that we just cannot get in the UK - my latest four sets of BG70 spring to mind!

I just wish the £/$ exchange rate would go back up to 1/2 so everything would be as cheap as it was when I first joined:D.
