I read it in a cyber Indonesian newpaper that Taufik declined to carry the Indonesian flag at the opening ceremony because he fears it might affect his game. So Hendrawan is the one to carry the flag and he said as a Chinese Indonesian it is a great onour to do so. This is important as certain matchups could swing the match unexpectedly one way or other.
