I just bought a pair of yonex floating clamps and I just figured out that I don't know how to use them...any description or tips would be helpful.

You can use them for stringing..........they are spring loaded, and it clamps onto to rows of strings at a time.....very simple.

When stringing, you just clamp as close to the frame on the string that you are pulling....., then steadily repeat, pull, release the clamp and reclamp again.

the floating clamp uses one side of the string as anchor for the other side. when the string is pulled to the desired tension, you clamp the string as close to the hole as possible, using the adjacent string as anchor. often it is impossible to get as close as possible because of crosses and the shape of the racquet, but the closer you can get, the least amount of tension loss will occur when you remove the clamp for the next position.

btw - how are you tensioning - curious that you just bought only floating clamps? are you using a dowel or rod to tension for temporary repairs or are you using a portable system? if you are repairing the racquet free standing, just be careful that you don't move the racquet too much with the clamps on that it damages the string or racquet.
